By lunchtime she had haypoke!
Guess who’s off to the vet tomorrow?

The good news is that girls’ weight finally seems to have stabilised instead of just piling on. They have very healthy appetites and are in excellent condition - apart from Naomi’s lump and Ruth’s haypoke.
 
We went to the vet.
I phoned at 8:30 and was in by 9:00.

Ruth has a haypoke but fortunately superficial.
We have Isathal and TMV drops twice daily.
Vet thinks it should be clear by the end of the week.

She was very good this evening, sitting on my lap, munching some cucumber while I put the Isathal in.
When I put the 2nd drop in I inadvertently made her drop the cucumber.
I’m pretty sure the noise she made at me was piggy swearing 🤬
 
Yay, hope it’s all cleared up asap.

Can’t believe you purposefully made poor Ruth drop her cucumber though. You definitely deserve the swearing. Do better next time please. 😂

Dear Ruth

I hear you were poked and prodded by the Nasty Vet Man today because you have haypoke. You also have to suffer the indignity of eyedrops. I know what this is like - I was put in piggy prison when I had to have eyedrops. It's good that you have trained your Slave into giving you yummy cucumber while you have your eyedrops but bad that your Slave made you drop your cucumber when she attempted to give you your second eyedrop which made you swear at her. Here at the GPU we do not condone swearing at your Slave but we do understand that sometimes that immediate reaction is necessary.

Next time you have eyedrops, make it really difficult for your Slave. Blink just as you see the drop is about to go into your eye - Slaves like that as it give them something to think about and makes it a challenge for them. When you feel the time is right, let the eyedrop go into your eye. Unfortunately you do actually need these things from the Nasty Vet Man as otherwise your eye will hurt for longer and lets face it who wants that? Make it known that you need yummy cucumber AND a piece of pepper for having to endure having the drops from Hell put into your eye.

Given the difficulty I am having in getting cucumber I’d be with Ruth in sweating if a precious slice got dropped 😂.
Good to hear you were seen so quickly and have eye drops. Hopefully Ruth will continue to cooperate - as long as the cucumber lasts!
 
Fortunately I was able to get cucumber in Neston market as well as tomatoes.
I’m there again this Friday so may get more.
Supplies can be bought for nearby piggies!

Ruth would like to thank the One and Only Thea for her support.
She’s tried the blinking and eye closing and would like to report the successful arrival of an eye drop on her nose.
She would also like to report that she had 2 pieces of cucumber this evening.

( note from slave - it was one piece cut in half. Ruth is easy to fool. )

The vet man was actually very nice and kind. He said nice things about my weight and my gurgly tummy. He’s the nice vet who was so kind and gentle with Priscilla on her last day so I did behave very well for him.
