Thankyou the vet said it didn't look too bad in person now it's scabbing and she thinks it's scabbing serum rather than infection however she's got more baytril to be on the safe side and I've moved her Saturday appointment to Thursday so they can recheck this as well as discuss hormones xx

I’ve only just logged in. And caught up! Wow what a rollercoaster for you. I’ll be honest - I’ve seen far worse (including last year when a foster pig in my care removed all her stitches following mammary tumour removal) - but it’s still dramatic when you see a wound like that. You must be exhausted!
Great to hear it’s scabbing over, & sensible to extend the antibiotics to prevent any possible infection. Let’s hope that this is the last twist for you in this episode!

Thankyou that sounds very scary with the mammory stitches of course it would help if she refrained from licking it and calmed her hormonal self down! I feel like we are never going to get her cleared for a spay atm but group tensions running high are really not helping with recovery on the other hand I'm not sure about any more ops for her after this one, I've booked in with the exotic vet on Thursday to discuss everything but it'll be while before shes allowed an op anyway
