That definitely looks much smaller. Sending good vibes for tomorrow’s surgery.
Thankyou I do think it depends on the piggy too! Fluffy was a nightmare after her spay but all my other piggy ops until now they've been fine and dandy from pickup onwards hope nugget is doing well today!Sending you both hugs, sorry about your car, talk about making a stressful time worse. I hope she comes round some more soon. It does take sometime for them to come round fully. I did manage to get him to eat 15mls about 10pm but he was still a bit out of it, his op started around 2pm I think.
I am so pleased he is doing well todayYes you are quite right, it does depend on the piggy. Peanut reacted badly to the meds twice and was a nightmare for a while. Rusty reacted badly and was kept in the vets for 2 nights. Other piggies other times have behaved as if nothing had happened.
Nugget is on the rampage today, storming up and down the cage. Mr. Angry is teeth chattering at me everytime I look at him and poor Rusty is hiding in the hay tray a lot today. Nugget is still happy to see me if foods involved though!
I hope your girl gets well very soon.
Thankyou I hope so too! The vet actually said she wouldve liked to remove more in an ideal world but she was struggling to get the skin to close so had to leave it at that (which should be absolutely perfect but the infection could unfortunately come back) she's back on Tuesday for a post op and the external tube stitch things removingOh bless. That is a big operation site she’s got there. Hopefully with plenty of pain relief and your top up syringe feeds she will start to feel better soon.
Thankyou i hope it's the anesthetic and not a double hay pokePoor little love! She looks a bit beaten up doesn’t she. I think the weird eye thing is the anaesthetic, I remember Ted’s eyes looked a bit odd after his first GA dental. Hope she recovers really quickly x
Sending you big hugs, it sounds like you have had one hell of a stressful day
Oh gosh I hope not, don’t they cover their eyes while under the anaesthetic? Or use tear dropsThankyou i hope it's the anesthetic and not a double hay poke
Thankyou what a start to the year!Just holding you in my heart
Thankyou I think the eye has an ulcer so she's going to need to see a vet as soon as really, no clue how I'm going to manage that but I'm sure going to try, I've finally got her chewing better but she's still a little (I don't really know how to desribe it- twitchy/spasmy?) I just hope I can get her eye sorted now! That eye does look sore. I am sorry you are having such a hard time with it all, these things all seem to happen at once. I had an itemised bill for Nugget and eye gel was on it. Peanut got a hay poke in the carrier coming home from the vets once we had to make a return journey.
Oh, @Emx93 I am so sorry for all the troubles you and your piggy are going through. Lay down and try to take a brief nap; I know it is hard but you need to look after yourself too. I will say a prayer for you and your piggy.
Thankyou both I'm late for syringe feeding as had to sort children but I'll be calling the vets as soon as they open at 9 and begging for an appointment I managed a 2 hour napPoor girl, her eye does look sore Sorry for the hard time you are having. I hope you can get her to the vets ok and that you have managed a nap or at least a rest. As above, you need to look after yourself too x
