Hay

Hay needs to be fresh, not mouldy and sweet smelling. Hay that is dusty, old and brown is not good hay

I’m sorry I don’t know much about Israel. Is there a farm where you can get some hay?

My guinea pig don't eat it ...

As a natural product it can really vary. Did you just buy it recently?
All the oat hay I have ever seen is a lot greener than that.

I bought it today in addition I have alfalfa

I am very scary they not eat anything!

As I said to you the other day alfalfa is not suitable to be fed as a main type of food. They need grass hay and alfalfa is not a grass hay.
If you bought the oat hay today then you will have to assume it is fresh hay and can be fed to then. As long as it isn’t damp and doesn’t smelly mouldy then you can feed them the oat hay

Thank you very much!
as I said, they are not eat anything...
thank you for all your help! God bless you

I try to give them hay, alfalfa, guinea pig food, carrot, pepper...

and they’ve not eaten any of the vegetables either? Hay is the most important thing for them to eat. They then need some vegetables every day and then the guinea pig pellets are the least important part of their diet But guinea pigs must eat constantly otherwise their system can shut down.

If they have not eat anything at all in all the days youve had them then things can quickly become serious for their health.
Can you weigh your guinea pigs every day to check their weight is going up. If they lose weight because they aren’t eating anything, then they will need veterinary help

the eat little beat but not from the hay...
i cannot check there weight...

But do they make lots of poop is a good sign?

Keep offering them plenty of hay it is the hay they need to eat most of throughout their entire lives. Put the hay in big piles in their cage so they can play in and eat it at will.

Perhaps you could get some scales? It is really quite important where possible to be able to weigh your guinea pigs every week as part of their routine care. Any weight losses, are a cause for concern and often an initial indicator of any illness so if is quite important to know what they weigh throughout their lives.

But do they make lots of poop is a good sign?

Lots of poop is a good sign, lots of poop means food is going in

Is it okay to temporarily give them alfalfa?
Israel has visited alfalfa, and as you saw the hay is not very good quality ..

As I have said, alfalfa is not a replacement for grass hay and they should not eat alfalfa as part of their main diet. Grass hay needs to be the thing they eat most of

I understand you may be having issues with grass hay but too much alfalfa (or any high calcium food) really is not good for them. They need grass and grass hay

Alfalfa is okay as a treat but a good hay to have most of the time is timothy or meadow hay.

GuineaDad's guide to hay

⬆⬆The hay that this website advertises is only available in US so don't bother trying to buy their hay⬆⬆

That looks more like straw than hay I’m afraid. It doesn’t look good quality at all

Also, I know things may be difficult, but for guinea pigs that cage is far far too small. Two guinea pigs review a cage that is 150cm x 60cm

This is my best Hay.
This or that or alfalfa
what to do?

That cage is far too small. Also why do you have a upside down basket in there?

but again, what to do with the hay?
this is the best in israel

I honestly don’t know what to suggest. Alfalfa is not suitable, it is not even advisable to give it as a treat. It can cause health problems when fed too much and too often. Otherwise Healthy guinea pigs should not have alfalfa.

The basket as a hiding place doesn’t look suitable I’m afraid
