Guinea pig poem

You're all so kind I'd love to have a book of them myself but I wouldn't know where to start having them made into a book and I have know idea how many I can do I'm still surprising myself...

There once was a neat piggie pen
With fresh fleece and a cosy clean den
But within half an hour
With some piggie will power
Their mum had to clean it again

Elvis mostly fits this one. He talks to himself as he pootles about and also rumbles at his brother but does a ginger tash count as a tuft? :))

I can't believe I don't have any pigtures of my boys in paper bags to illustrate this one with but oh well here it is...

There once was a round furry boy
With a brown paper bag to distroy
He munched on the top
And pooped in it non-stop
Then he peed in his favourite toy

I work in a special school so I'm up getting ready for work. I had that one half finished and it was bothering me so I had to find a final line or it would be in my head all day 🤣

Studio Press have published ‘Life According to Guinea Pigs’ while the Guinea Pig Classics are published by Bloomsbury Press.
There are publishers out there who might be interested.
I’m sure that across the forum we can illustrate every poem with a suitable photo.

If you do gather your poems and decide to send them to a publisher then make sure you keep a copy for yourself.
To prove that you own the copyright place a copy in an envelope, sign your name across the seal, cover with sellotape and send recorded delivery to yourself.
Then you can send copies out to publishers.
This stops anyone else from stealing your work.

Would publishers not be put off by the fact that they've already been posted publicly here? And wouldn't that affect copyright? I like the idea of them being in a book but It seems ridiculous and I just don't think I have the business mind to make it all work.

You could self published if you want. I know a lot of authors now self published their books to avoid the hassle of publishers and such (money, time, etc.). Not sure how they do it in Amazon though.

Can’t help any more, sorry - that’s the extent of my knowledge.
My father was a printer compositor in the old days before home computers existed .
I just think your poems are brilliant.
@anyar.dris has made a good suggestion though, to self-publish.

This ones about a group of three sows, yet again as a mummy to two boars there is no accompanying pigture...

There once was a pig with some carrot
Her sister decided she'd have it
Some rumbling ensued
Trying to reclaim the food
While it was left for their friend to inherit
