Diet Club

I had a small gain this week, I've been on night duty and always gain, I'll have to get my nose to the grindstone for next week. 👍

Another pound off this week but I’m feeling a little disappointed as I thought I’d done better plus we’re going to Belgium next week so lots of eating and drinking so I’m worried I’ll pile weight back on 😞 x
Well done Claire, a loss is a loss. If you put weight on next week you know what to do to lose it again, holidays are meant for enjoying. x

Since life got in the way a couple of months ago, I've gained 5lbs and 1.5lbs of that was when I was on my 2 week cruise over the past 2 weeks. I'll have to get back on it again but life is so hectic atm. I'll diet when I can. I haven't been to the gym for 4 weeks due to me hurting my ankle and the cruise. I haven't been able to book for this week so hopefully I can go back next week if I get no side effects from the Covid/Flu jabs I'm having on Monday next week.

I think I'm in a yo yo relationship with the same 2/3lbs. Its off, on, off again and repeat. I'm starting to think its hormonal/ water weight and maybe the natural fluctuation in weight I have. So it means I need to look at everything again. My exercising went out the window for a little while but I'm sort of back on it. Small steps.

Great. 2lbs is 2lbs. Don’t be disheartened. Your body will soon adjust to your new regime and I’m sure the weight will start falling off.

Well done everyone and @Betsy you haven’t gained much at all and you should still be proud of all you’ve achieved.

I’ve gained 2lb due to all the eating snd drinking I did in Belgium and hub being off work for a week so I’m determined to lose something by next Fridays weigh in x

Thank you. The days the ship was in Port we walked around 7- 9 miles so that may have had something to do with it.

Remember, there is no shame in a gain. Life happens and as long as you enjoyed yourself that's all that matters.

I've never had to diet, mainly because I spend so much time running round after horses and dogs, plus being vegan means I don't eat fat = BUT I have a really, really sweet tooth and eat a ton of sugar even just in coffee. Friend has just joined weight watchers or whatever it's called now, and she showed me the NHS weight chart which tells you what you should weigh, crumbs, I stopped feeling like I was doing OK pretty quickly, as according to this I need to lose two stone! I think they are being a bit OTT about weights, but perhaps I just feel that because it was a shock. But tbh what they say I should weigh is what I was when I was a skinny teenager, however I have now been informed that my excuse that I was a whole lot older now doesn't cut it, as apparently I should still weigh the same! Ugh, so now I've got to cut down on the sugar - figured I'd need some motivation so I decided to join in with everyone else doing the diet thing!

I go to the gym 4 times a week, eat a healthy diet and am classed as obese which is ludicrous! Muscle weighs more than fat. My PT at the gym said those BMI charts are wilding misleading. They don't take into account your body type or muscle mass.
