Well Daisy has been dropped off at the vets for her operation this morning ... I imagine she will look funny with her shaved bits on her back when I collect her!

Will keep you posted......trying to keep busy to keep my mind off it....

Good luck Daisy, and calming vibes to you, waiting to hear all went well is so nervewracking!

Just been through this recently with one of mine. I tell myself that the longer it takes for the vet to ring me, the better the news will be as if something goes horribly wrong they ring up right away!
Kanga sailed through the op, hope yours does too x

Well she is home.... it didn't quite go as planned .. Ellie was doing the removal of the ovaries from the flank (I think) but one ovary was too big to come through the incision... so she had to go into her tummy.. I picked her up at 8.15pm... then the drive home in a lovely thunder and lightning ⛈ storm..
Daisy has had her tummy meds..a bit of coriander.. the critical care/recovery syringe didn't go great so going to try again in a bit - the consistency wasn't right and it didnt suck up the syringe!
Ive set her up in the floor run for tonight and she waddled off to bed when I put her in... winny is a bit too boisterous for her to cope with tonight...

Thanks for all your kind well wishes...

2am syringe feed was a bit of a failure.. Daisy was still pretty much out of it but she had done some poops from 10pm - 2am so that was good..

This morning she was a bit more alert, she ate all her usual breakfast & a bit extra coriander and about 10-15ml of critical care...and all her drugs... I have plonked her with a pile of hay and she has been nibbling it so fingers crossed she will continue to eat..

She is apart from Brownie & Winny at the moment but hopefully get her back with them soon...when she is more alert etc..

Glad to hear that Daisy is doing well this morning. Sending healing vibes.

I have just dropped Peggy off for an ultrasound of her ovaries and womb. I will find out this evening if she needs to be spayed.
Aww I hope Peggy's scan goes well xx

Thinking of little Peggy too x

Daisy isn't moving much... I have popped Brownie in with her but she just sniffed her and that was it...
I think the first day after surgery is always the worst. There is probably still some of the anaesthesia in her system. My experience is only post-neutering as our vet kept Hazel as an in-patient after her bladder surgery. I had to support feed Milo for the first day after his neutering as he was still a bit out of it but by day two he was much more himself.

I hope that Daisy starts to feel better soon. Sending healing vibes.
