Thanks 👍🙏. Hopefully he will make it through, it's funny because everytime I drive to my sister in laws to get her essential things, I keep seeing my grandads old Ford escort sat on its own in a bowls club car Park. He sold it a few years ago because he couldn't see well enough, I really want to buy it back and drive it. He used to lend me it when our car broke down. The thing would never give up like he won't 🙂

Just had an update from the hospital and then passed on to me. My grandad has defied all odds today, and has tried to get out of bed and walk, he sitting up talking. The guy has blood poisning, fluid on lungs, and had a stroke the other day. The nurses are in shock.

I know this could be that typical burst of energy before you give up. But I'm still preying 🤞

My phone is terribly broken and I check this thread every night from my mom's phone to just check on the update on your grandfather🙁🙁 just wanted u to know someone from India sitting on their mom's phone prays best wishes for your grandfather everyday❤❤

My dad has just been diagnosed with diabeties type 2 today now. 🤦‍♂️Come on! What's next?!

He hasnt been going on his walks as much doc thinks it to do with not exercising as much since lockdown
 
You are having incredibly bad luck at the moment.So sorry to hear this.Keeping everything crossed for you and your family

I'm spending most of my time in 'acceptance', but I do drop back into 'survival' from time to time and have very occasionally moved to small parts of the 'growth' section.

Hopefully this will encourage him to take those walks! He may be able to reverse this. You sometimes can with type 2, but you can't with type 1. My fitness has definitely dropped since lockdown and when I got on the scales, yesterday, I've gained half a stone!

Hopefully he will reverse it. He a mad keen walker, he was better when he had the dog. I keep telling him to get another springer spaniel. He used to walk miles and miles daily back then

That wouldn’t be a bad idea, if it gets him out and walking. For now even a short wander is good. Hopefully he will manage to reverse it 🤞🏾 Any news on your grandad?

Grandad update. He's now bleeding on the brain, has no swallowing reflex being fed by liquid through a tube I take it. And his kidneys are picking up. So few steps forwards and a leap backwards basicly.

The bleeding on the brain is where he kept having falls at time and kept having to go hospital for it. We tried to say he needs to go into a home permanently but he would cry when we suggested it.

So he hasn't got dimentia, it's the injured brain why is his so confused and all the antibiotics for his blood poisoning

I have just turned my laptop on to find some pictures out. MSN news helpfully tells me "lock down may be lifted on Monday" so now I've turned my laptop off. I don't need this level of anxiety today!

The government are really peeing me off now. They want to cut furloughed pay down from 80 to 60%. I'm not even taking much furlough because I'm not very much above minimum wage. But then it's not fair to cut well payed people down just because they did well at school

Due to Government changing their minds about how they will fund early years at this time, my contract has changed at work "temporarily" so my furlough pay has gone down. It has caused no end of stress for the managers/owners who 6 months from now still want to have a business/staff. I'm lucky (or unlucky in some ways) that I still live at home, don't have a car etc so once my bills/board is paid my money is my own so the pay isn't really an issue, I just want to have a job in 3 months. I really feel for those who will really struggle.

I feel like since they said we are passed the peak, everyone has taken it as "do what you want". So many small businesses locally have opened up this last week, or are preparing to open next week. I understand completely the need to help the economy but is encouraging people out their homes the right way? What happened to "turn the tide" in 12 weeks. Surely after 7 weeks we aren't giving in?

A KFC in town opened yesterday, drive through only... there was a queue of 25 cars when they opened! Can people not manage without for a few weeks!?

I've noticed so many more cars about now when I've been out doing deliveries vulnerable family. It's going back to normal by itself it seems. Hopefully you keep your job, so worrying

Alot of my relatives and known people had diabetes and u they reversed it patiently with good diet and exercise which are specially created for diabetic patients:)

That's good to know. Thanks, he's pretty good with not eating sugary stuff, but he used to be bad with eating fish and chips, deep fried, that lead to a heart attack last year, he just managed to get an ambulance in time. That was a scary day
 
The US government issued $1,200 check to all the citizens so I just stopped by the bank depositing $1,200 to my checking account.
It isn’t nearly what I get paid each month but the good news is, I also noticed I haven’t been spending any money due to the lockdown.
$1,200 obviously isn’t worth all the emotional roller coaster I went through and still going through during the lockdown.
My neck hurts from being too tense all the time. Also, I have been trying to exercise but keep on going to the news sources to read and listening to updates in COVID19.
Needless to say, this needs to end soon.

It sounds like his body is shutting down and he is being kept going by doctors nurses and machinery. It isn't right, obv I want him to live, but if he does make it, what can you do with a failing heart, kidneys going bad, and probably brain damaged.
