A lot of children here are staying off school and are now hanging around the shopping centres in small gangs, not sure how that helps!
It's worse isn't it. It's exactly why schools aren't shut yet. In school there may be a high number of children but it's the same people day in, day out so controlled in a way. These same kids go and spend the day in a shopping centre and potentially pass to a larger number of people or put themselves more at risk of getting it. Surely if you are worried about your child contracting covid-19 then you shouldn't be letting them go and hang out in the shopping centre especially if you are too worried to send them to school
I feel I am getting a bit stir crazy with this voluntary self-isolation.Schools should close I think, but then you have nurses with kids that have no one to look after them. Theres no best way to do anything. It's all screwed

I bet you are. I'm in a hotel on my own but not isolating, and feel like I'm going mad. I don't feel well cooped up in Wales. I want to be at homeI feel I am getting a bit stir crazy with this voluntary self-isolation.
I am only in contact with people when absolutely necessary.
All I can say it's that's terrible, and best of luck to you. Honestly all of you on here, best of luck with the pets. I can't even do this, I hate my job, lawn here I come too I think soon.Well, the Huns, the Vandals, the Goths, the Mongols, the Tartars and the Turks have all been and gone at the local supermarket.
This is my piggy veg haul for 26 piggies for 3 days! Lawn, here we come...

My daughter has type 1 diabetes and we received this update from her consultant today :OK so I've just seen that anyone who receives the flu jab in adult life should social distance, I recieve the flu jab due to being diabetic on insulin, what exactly does this mean? My children are still attending school etc and I'm alone with them at night and evening so can't stay in a seperate room... Sam has to go to work as I can't afford him to have 2 weeks isolation now to then catch the virus/ one of us starts showinng symptoms and need another 2 weeks... All playgroups and cinemas etc locally have shut so it's pretty much just food shops, school and work/ vet trips that we are leaving the house for, will that be OK do you think?
Thankyou this is a huge help! So I will stay home, Sam will do the school runs and of course go to work, he can do any necessary shopping also and any vet trips doctors trips etc (though with the exception of what's already booked I hope we don't have any!)My daughter has type 1 diabetes and we received this update from her consultant today :
"At the moment – the recommendation is for ‘social distancing’ rather than self isolation if you have type 1 diabetes and you have no symptoms or household contacts with anyone who could have the illness.
We think it is a sensible precaution to follow the guidance on ‘social distancing’ . With the exception of school…this should limit your chances of picking up the virus."
Children with diabetes have no need to stay home from school if they are well.
I hope that is some help to you thinking over your situation x
I'm sorry about your friendYes please don't confuse social distancing and isolation. Isolation is avoiding all contact with everyone. Social distancing is to avoid unnecessary contact and travel. It's not bad advice at all. I'm on maternity leave and now in the high risk group so social distancing it is. I took the dog for a walk earlier to get out and get some exercise. I wanted to go to the butcher's but hubby insisted he should go instead. Obviously I still need my midwifery appointments though they happen at home and if I go overdue I will need to attend hospital but other than that I don't intend to mix with people. Sadly this means not going to visit a friend who ended up having their leg amputated suddenly a couple of weeks back.
I'm sorry about your friendvibes that you have smooth rest of pregnancy and delivery
❤
Everything crossed for youNever been more grateful to have opted for a home birth if I'm honest. Let's just hope baby is on time and there's no complications
Don't suppose you'd like some more reusables? Sorting out after our move, I found a box of reusables I'd put to one side after my youngest outgrew them, then forgot about them. You'd be most welcome to have them, they're not a lot of use to me now ...

Cause stupid people think once its out of sight it's out of mind. Until they flush and the toilet bowl water rises over the seat. London will have the biggest issue here with all the fat burgs.Ridiculous, why can't people just use a bin for anything that shouldn't be flushed

The worst part is, people in upstairs flats won't be affected, the ground floor will have a flooded bathroom when the backed up sewage waste comes up through the loweest part of the house, the bath plug hole. Which is what almost happened to mine a month ago
Yea service charges, that's why I rodded our out myself, but if this time I might not be able toThe people in upstairs flats will be affected though. Come next March when the additional costs of dealing with all this is added to everyone's bills.
