All Jigsaw Puzzlers out there post your puzzles!

I have loose boards from the Portapuzzle that I could still use bui haven't done for some time and I haven't missed them. Now I sort the pieces into one of 6 trays and work them straight onto the board. Less desk space needed for it, too.

I really love the picture.Where is it supposed to be?

Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria (Germany); it was built as a mock medieval castle summer residence by a Bavarian king in the 19th century in the foothills of the Alps.

It became the inspiration for Disney, which is why it looks so familiar. ;)

It's a really beautiful castle. I visited it a few years ago.

I've dug out an old jigsaw that hub gave me not long after our marriage. It is the famous scenic cottage by the bridge in Llanrwst in the upper Conwy valley right on the edge of Snowdonia/Eryri National Park in North Wales (which provides the background), not far from Betws-y-Coed, which is one of the main accesses to the Snowdon/Llanberis pass. My elderly MIL used to have family connections in Llanrwst in her youth as her family comes from the wider area, so we used to take her out for a drive around the area once or twice a year.

It's LOTS of leaves, stones and pebbles... I've done it a few times over the years. Hub gave up very quickly the first time round. He is very competitive but he cannot be me on the jigsaw front! :)

That does look hard, with lots of areas very similar colours.
I didn't have much time for my puzzle today after making a lot of progress yesterday. Today I did find time to put together a yellow/blue/grey area mostly showing sky and a tree. I had two bits over and 2 spaces but the bits wouldn't fit the spaces. I took it apart 3 times. Tomorrow is another day!

I had to switch some pieces around that looked OK but weren't. The irregular way the pieces fit doesn't make things any easier, either! I started yesterday but only finished this afternoon since my eyes and concentration gave out a few times and I could only work in relatively short spurts.

I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to be the case with a good chunk of this one, I don't remember the seams ever being this uneven with a Clementoni but they still fit together as a group.

All the best. At least you have wider plain areas rather than lots of small scale roughage to wrestle with.

It's still a matter of "try every piece til it fits" but it's nowhonear as aggravating doing it for a big area than a small one. Small ones suggest it's easy, big ones thankfully don't lol.

It'll be done though.

I didn't mean to finish it all this afternoon but I got o a roll and couldn't stop! Sorry it didn't photograph well, the lights a bit poor in the room so late in the afternoon and you couldn't see it at all in glare of artificial light.

Oh but look at all that sky :yikes:

At this point I have all the sky pieces in one tray and trying each piece, and if it doesn't fit put it in another tray. And then back again. Takes forever but there's less chance of missing a piece as you go.

It'll be worth it when it's done. You know, by January, lol.

Oh I wish I had your patience ☺️ I lose interest fast if I can’t get some progress pretty fast. I am going to try and up the pieces now I have had both my cataracts done

I have something else going on on the TV all the time, it's easier to keep my patience that way. Doing only one thing at a time, I get antsy too fast.

Clementoni always have several pieces that could fit in several places unfortunately. Unless I try each piece at a time it's too easy to miss them.

A lot of the pieces in the puzzle I just made would fit in more than one place. The yellow tree on the left was taken apart 4 times! Its a print of an oil painting so the brush strokes don't necessarily continue onto the next piece.

Gosh that sounds really hard. I need pretty easy ones. I lose interest so quick

Just started a hard puzzle. All the pieces look the same shades. Some are a slightly different shade of cream, some a slightly different shade of brown, others a slightly different shade of green! I can't do it under artificial light. Do you wonder why you ever thought something was a good idea? I thought the picture on it was lovely when I bought it from Everything Guinea Pig.
