Given that the members of the Anniversary Herd are snowed under with off forum stuff we’ve opted for a Summer Photos thread, like the spring one we’re enjoying.
Meteorological Summer begins on Wednesday so let’s see summer pics - with or without piggies.
For our friends in the Southern Hemisphere- please show us your winter pictures

That’s it rub it In that you’re all enjoying summer. It’s winter, cold and rainy here. I hate it! :bye:
It's been cold and wet here until today Hannah. Today was warmish out of the wind, rain forecast again tomorrow afternoon! You know what British summers are like, no two days the same.

Have a wonderful time. I’m staying by Hawkshead. Between Windermere and Coniston. Beautiful ❤️
Oh, Hawkshead is lovely and away from the crowds. There are some lovely walks around there, like Latterbarrow. I'm staying in Newlands Valley, between Keswick and Buttermere.

My mum has this! It makes a lovely sound.
She actually thought it was leaking but it turned out every passing cat had a drink out of it - so keep an eye on those water levels 🤣
Yesterday there was a commotion as a magpie decided to bathe in the bottom dish. And in doing so he knocked one of the upper pots so that the spouts were no longer lined up and the water was trickling out onto the paving slabs and not owing into the pot below and re-circulating. I’m going to have to keep an eye on that each day, in case it becomes a regular occurrence.

I love those the sound of running water can be so relaxing. We have a large shallow dish in the garden for the birds, once the magpies or pigeons have had a bath it needs refilling. Which reminds me of a What Made You Happy Today post I meant to make!

Not sunny in the garden today but the flowers don’t mind. The Sweet Williams have honoured us again this year.

No idea what this bedding plant is called but it’s overwintered and putting on a real show around the pond

Could the orange one be Gazania?
In Austria they don't get over the winter unfortunately.

Not the best photo but the best I could get in my rush to grab my phone when I spotted what was going on…. A woodpecker was gathering sunflower hearts from my feeder this morning - and feeding them to a fledgling woodpecker who was satA407CAB3-0442-423F-935C-6686AA0CA76C.webp on the fence (sadly out of range of my shot)
