For being white.
I don't know exactely, but it's a very old Austrian Hungarian breed that was nearly lost. The breeding started again in the 1990s approx. and there is a strict breeding plan.

Unfortunately we don't have hummingbirds in Austria. It's a hawkmoth, but they really resemble hummingbirds - only much smaller.
