Wordle - what is it?

Assuming that you in the US see the same puzzle on the same day as us in the UK, probably yes. That would certainly fit the description of a word that most people wouldn't use in their daily life πŸ˜„
I think the word caulk is used at least once a week in my house. "Did you caulk the windows?" "I think the caulk needs to be replaced in the shower." "Where's the glue? Never mind, I will just use caulk." Caulk is my husband's answer for glue or duct tape. :))

:D I guess English-English just uses the rather easier to spell seal/sealant except for specialist uses like boat repairs but the US has retained the older word :xd:

I love decorators caulk, easy to use and paint over. It's on my shopping list for stuff I need to decorate the bathroom this spring once the piggies can go outside again. I've not heard of boat caulk.

Thought I’d have a go at Nerdle given how many are talking about it.
As I barely scraped my O level maths I thought I did quite well for a first go.
Still prefer words to numbers though.
I feel really embarrassed. I did A level maths but I just can't do Nerdle, I haven't managed to get one right yet :(

MrA is a plumber. And he spotted the word almost immediately yesterday. Apparently he’d heard it often used in his plumbing chat groups - where there are US members.I’d never heard of it.

Caulking was more a thing in the days of wooden ships, sealing the gaps between timbers with fibres (cotton or oakum) and then covering it with pitch or putty. That's how I've come across it (visiting HMS Victory etc). Have heard people talk about decorators caulk too though.

I would have done better if I hadn't have put one of my RB piggies names as the 4th guess, it did fit...it just wasn't the correct first letter! :))

I did a little better at nerdle instead.

I liked Wednesday's caulk-its the best one I've managed for a few days
... I'd heard of decorators caulk & I'm sure I've seen it in either the Screwfix or Toolstation catalogues, but I do meddle with DIY too πŸ–ŒοΈ πŸͺš :))

Not too bad today, although my head is not in gear tonight to attempt nerdle

Ooh do your skills involve painting skirting boards, laying carpets, varnishing and fitting doors? Asking for a friend :inn:

Piggy daddy texted me to say it took him 6 goes today, which makes me feel a bit smug cos he's such a show off if he does it in less than me! He always wordles in the staff room with a cup of tea before school starts :)
