What made you happy today?

I have a cleaner coming to deep clean my house Thursday! She is going to vacuum the boys room, there is tons of hay. I have to do some work before she comes but I'm looking forward to having a clean house, I've been having a hard time with all the clutter and I'm hoping she cleans the bathroom walls. I'm paying $385 so I think it'll be thorough.

We are getting our roof sheets replaced today. The tin sheets are almost rusted through so this job was way overdue. Hoping it turns out nicely.

Cool. I got a new roof this year, too. But we do rubber roofs here in the states, metal is like $50,000 whereas rubber is around $15,000.

If I lived closer I'd do it for cheaper than that lol.I work as a housekeeper in a hotel but used to be a supervisor in a previous 4 star hotel.
 
1st... My neighbor and I had fallen out a bit, but today she came for a visit and coffee and we had a lovely time. 😊 Fences mended...
2nd... My husband and I took a nice drive and had a lovely conversation, just about life, family, and blessings. It was a blessing just to spend a little time together ❤️.
 
I bought takeaway. I even walked to it when I couldn't order delivery because this place has never let me down on the food before and it was totally, totally worth it.

Half of it is in the fridge til tomorrow lol, I'm too full. It's like Christmas leftovers except better because they're not turkey.

Whatever the place is up the road.
There's also a takeaway down the road that sells the same cuisine.
And they're both on the same side of the same road 😂

When we were sorting out the house back in August I ordered from the same takeaway and then told @YvonneBlue the wrong one. I'd been ordering from this place for years thinking it was the other one. Only been living in Rochdale for a decade like...

Went into York today and had a bit of a wander and a lovely lunch at a Thai restaurant.
Weather stayed nice until we were driving home - then it rained.

A WhatsApp video chat with my pen friend in the US. We started writing to each other when we were about 12 - now we’re both retired!

The lake is an old volcano crater that had filled with water. And apparently the teahouse has been there for over 90 years.
The lake is a popular spot for paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. There is even a trail that circumnavigates the lake, but we only went far enough to see the main attraction.... two 1,000 year old trees standing side by side. We took a few photos but couldn't stay too long because there was a storm on it's way.

If you're curious how big said trees were, here are some photos. I don't want to share my photos because we are in them, so these photos are from the internet.
