Weight loss, soft poops and drinking more

Pepper is like a different pig today! His medication finished yesterday morning and he hasn’t stopped stuffing his face today, especially as he got some very expensive treat hay, I’m so pleased to see him eating more!
Pringle also thinks the all you can eat buffet is great, he has been helping pepper out with some of the top up feeds and is tipping the scales at 1320g (up 20g on usual)
Hoping his URI has cleared up and he won’t need more medication!
 
I’m so pleased he seems to be over it. I thought piggies weren’t allowed steroids?

I’m just gone down the rabbit hole about steroids..
@Wiebke should there be anything I should be looking out for with Pepper as he has had it now? The vet (who is an exotic vet) said it would help him to build up some muscle, obviously I just let the vet do it but now what I have read of the forum I wish I hadn’t.

Hi

I would not worry too much if Pepper is well again in himself; it is more critical with very ill piggies where it can make things worse rather than better.
