He's lovely Julie, looks like a little lion!
he was Ok until I took him to the vets today! Then he started sounding clickey and sneezy. He is on his baytril for another 5 days, the vet said she could still hear his wheezing, poor little mite. :(
He is still munching and bouncing round though, just not as hyper as before. He is so good though, takes his baytril and has a cuddle. Little trooper!

really hoping he gets better soon, usually when i go to the vet the symptoms disapear. huxley sounds like a little angel. sending hugs and cuddles to huxley and to you. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: as for zoe we have introduced hay, grass, celery leaf, mix, parsley and now carrot, for now we aren't going to tempt fate we will leave it with these for a few weeks to let zoe's tummy settle. then we may add some more and take some away. also our vet is getting some ox bow pellets and timothy hay in for us(zoe and jessie hate pellets) so will also introduce these slowly so as to not upset her. so from us in oz me and zoe sending hugs and cuddles to you and huxley in the UK. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: get better soon little mate.

That's a shame that you can still hear the wheezing Katie, but hopefully it will improve, I like the thought of him whizzing around :smitten:

Hope Zoe will do better sooon Mary :)

Aw thansk Mary, thats really sweet! I hope Zoe picks up real soon. I told Huxley and he perked up, said to send Zoe a piggy kiss from him!

Yeah, I was disappointed Julie as he had been slowly getting better. Sometimes I think it is the stress of going to the vets that makes it worse - he hasn't sounded to bad since he has been back home. Hopefully he will get rid of the nasty wheezes.

Katie can you hear anything on his chest? like as if its shifted a bit? when Ralfie had a URI, the vets told us to put him in the bathroom with the shower on so he breathed in the humidity, and we were told to pat his side with two fingers like winding a baby until he coughed, this might help dislodge a bit of the mucus for him? It certainly worked with Ralfie! hope he's feeling better soon x

Aww hope he feels better soon! They are so delicate aren't they? I'm sure he will be fine with more medication! Keep us posted! :smitten:

Thats interesting Emma ... it sounded yesterday like it had moved off hs chest and was just the sneezes, but today it sounded bad again.. I might try that, thanks! We are hoping he is improving as he is bouncing round his cage again!

The little fella has been taking his baytril like a good boy, although he is still sounding chesty. I would have thought it would have cleared by now.. he is munching and still whizzes round his cage, but still a bit clicky and the odd sneeze.
Will have a think on how to get him to breathe in some steam ( we can't use our shower as the water gets down the side of the bath and runs into the kitchen - house that Jack built!). I might put a bowl of hot water with some vicks in it by his cage and see if it helps.
My brother stayed over last night - he was very taken with Huxley, thought he was lovely!

Aw :smitten: Ralfie's took months to clear but it did eventually, i think URI's are quiet difficult to shift! If he hasnt improved much in a week katie i'd ask for septrin O0 the bowl of hot water sounds good O0 x

sending huxley and you hugs and cuddles. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: really hoping he gets better soon. maybe when the warmer weather comes for you he will improve. using the steam in a bowl is a good idea, when ever i have a cold i breathe in steam from a saucepan on the stove and that always works for me. good luck and please keep us updated on the sweet fella. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

OH has been doing a mad butt-waggling dance for him in front of his cage - the little fella has had his front paws up on the bars watching him in amazement! 98) It was very funny to see!
He is still chesty unfortunately but still whizzing round his cage and eating. Back at the vets tomorrow!

OH sound really funny! wonder what huxley thought of the dance? 2funny 2funny 2funny if only piggies could talk! really hoping things go well for huxley at the vet! maybe huxley is in love with your OH? just a thought. sending hugs and cuddles to you and huxley and maybe medical help for OH! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

My OH is his dad! :D

Scruffystarted wheezing and clicking last night - couldn't believe it - so tonight Scruffy, Huxley and Marble the rabbit are going to the vets.
I gave Scruffy some Baytril to stop it getting worse - little monkey batted the syringe away with his hands and it went on my suit this morning!

OH nooooooooooo what a time you're going thru.... good luck with them alllllllllllll at the vets :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Hey i reckon you need some cuddles to get you thru ((((((((((((( CUDDLES))))))))))) :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

The vet was pleased! Said both Huxley's and Scruffy's chests sounded OK and that we had caught both of them in time. Phew!
Huxley can finish his course of baytril (prob tomorrow) and Scruffy needs to take it for 5 days, but he said he wasn't unduly worried about them.

HOORAY! Little monkeys worrying me! :)

so glad that your three fur babies are alrght. maybe it was the OH's dance that did the trick    a new medical breakthrough! hoping scruffy, marble and little huxley continue to improve for you. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and i know what you mean about pushing the syringe away with their paws, zoe is doing that all the time! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: hoping you bought a wig to keep your head warm! 2funny 2funny 2funny sending hugs and cuddles to you and your fur babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Thanks Choloe, but what do you mean with the wig bit?! ?

OH did another dance for Huxley this evening - Huxley looked at him funny then went off whizzing round his cage and playing with his footie! :D

Poor Scruffy is a bit grumpy - he had an injection - and growled a bit before going into his bedroom to sulk. :(

How's Zoe doing?

in one of your post to glynis you said you were tearing your hair out, thats what i meant by the wig! sorry weak joke. as for zoe, she was going well, had a few soft poops sunday so took the mix and carrot away and so far yesterday and today(tuesday) she has been normal(touching wood). zoe is eating and drinking well. poor little grumblebum scruffy sulking in his bedroom! poor little mite! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: glad huxley isn't affected by OH's dancing and enjoys his footy. how did marble go at the vet? perhaps OH should piggy dance for scruffy? 2funny 2funny 2funny hoping huxley and marble continue to improve and that scruffy gets over the sulks and gets better soon. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: sending you all hugs and cuddles. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Thanks Choloe, thats very sweet!
Don't worry about the wig joke, its me, I am a bit slow!

Huxley seems to enjoy OH's butt-wiggling! He sits and watches him, then starts popcorning! They are both mad! Have to make him dance for Scruffy, that'll cheer him up!

Marble's foot is slowly improving but still sore, if it gets worse again we have to start the baytril again.

Glad Zoe is doing well! Aw!

xx

hoping the boys are better today, if it helps your boys then let the other half dance? 2funny 2funny 2funny you could always tape it and send it to the funniest home video or play it at OH's birthday! 2funny 2funny 2funny hoping scruffy is no longer sulking and sending hugs and cuddles to you and your four boys! :smitten: :smitten:

Thanks Choloe and Tattyruncy!
Huxely had his lips squeezed shut today, didn't want his baytril the little monkey, whilst I got some into Scruffy without him batting the syringe away!
Will check on Marble's little paw tonight!

(And yes, if I can secretly film OH doing his dance for the piggies, I will post it here! >:D )

Lol that video would cheer me up! Glad they are improving Katie, thats great O0 you've done really well with them :smitten:
