Hi all,

Again sorry for not posting, I have not spent any
time online due to a sickness in the family ( my mother ).

Bailey's weight is now at 320g and as a treat for doing so
we purchased her a log cabin for her to use when she
is out running around the room, she got so excited with it.
Getting Timothy hay was a problem and we have it on special
order at the pet shop, the store also informed me that due
to certain rules in Ireland, he does not believe that stores are
allowed stock Critical care and we would need to source it seperately
from a vet, again not everywhere will stock it.

We found a vet who does and her name is

Bairbre o' Malley
Kilmaintan Place
Bray
Wicklow
01 2723857
1890564036 after hours

She is also a specialist in exotics and has been on tv a lot in Ireland, and is highly recommended.

Karen I got your message, again apoligies for not getting back sooner,
the vet we attended with Bailey was.

Animal Welfare Veterinary Hospital
40 Charlemont Street
Dublin 2
01 6714303 or 01 4784348
Monday - Friday : 10am to 1pm & 2.30pm to 8pm
Saturday : 10am to 1pm
Sunday : closed
Bank Holidays : 12pm to 2pm

The actual vets name that we saw was Paul Hurley, but I am assured that
the other vets in the practice are just as good.

So pleased she is still alright, sounds like she is making a good and fast recovery. Keep us updated. O0

Update on Bailey

Again sorry for not keeping in touch on the forum,

Last week Bailey took turn for the worst, her droppings had never fully returned
to normal, she was not eating properly, and we had to put her back on antibiotics
and bio lapis sachets, unfortunately our baby Bailey passed away in my girlfriends
arms on Saturday. Andrea did not stop crying for a long time after, this has been
extremely upsetting, we were going through our digital camera yesterday and
there was photo's of Bailey on it. As I type her empty cage is just a few feet away
and I still cannot get used to her not been here with us.

Bailey was buried in a very beautiful spot over looking Banna Beach in County Kerry,
her favourite toy and her water bottle and some flowers were placed
with her.

To all who tried help we thank you all so much

Bailey R.I.P

Richard & Andrea
