Saturday morning cage clean

Come and get her. She’s giving me so much attitude at meds time, especially when she hears the others getting veg and I wouldn’t let her because her poos were bad!
:dri: :dri: :dri: :dri: On my way! I can cope with piggies with attitude. The Ever Beautiful Betsy 🌈 may have been completely beautiful both inside and out but boy, was she a grumpy cow at times!

I love your cage (and piggies too) 😊
Thank you. I can’t wait for the day we move and I can extend it more. We just don’t have the space in this house unfortunately.

I’m going to get a nice chair where Degu’s cage was though so I can sit more comfortably in here with the pigs. I usually get a numb bum sat on the footstool.

Aw, that will be amazing!

Well a Ginny update. I’ve ended up taking her urgently to my local vets as she’s really deteriorated and I was so worried about her. They have kept her to do an ultrasound to have a look at her for themselves. She’s got urinary retention now too.

Also my vet said that her teeth don’t look the best and he also thinks she is a lot older than I was told when rescuing her. But I’ve always suspected that as she was rescued from a very unscrupulous breeder and I always suspected that she lied to me about her age just to get rid of Ginny.

Feeling rather stressed out with it all. It’s been a stressful few days with degu, my dog Izzy had to go to the vets too as she wasn’t well and then Ginny has been ongoing.

My mind is blown.
Her kidneys are enlarged it could be inflammation. Bladder not in retention so that’s good, but very gunky and inflamed.
Cysts huge and vet thinks probably having an impact by pressing on her organs. He drained one last night and she was brighter overnight.
Her teeth aren’t great. Not horrific but certainly could be playing a part in her not wanting to eat now.

So I’ve dropped her off this morning for a spay, look at her bladder and flush if she’s ok and then a look and rasp at her teeth is she’s doing ok under anaesthetic.
I hope she’s ok. I feel quite overwhelmed and lost with it all really. She’s not in the best condition right now to be going under but have to try for her.

Sending healing vibes to Ginny and hugs to you. It sounds like your vet is on the ball and Ginny is in good hands.

Thanks. Trying to distract myself at work as best I can but can’t help think about her.

It really is. It’s been one thing after another with my fur babies and I’m just feeling so overwhelmed and just need Ginny to be ok. This has thrown me for six ☹️
