Hi there, just checking in; with funerals and personal illness (MS flared up after the flu) and buying a new house and dog surgeries and now it's SNOWING I just have not had the time to play with guinea pigs or be on the Internet. I can take a couple of minutes right now, though. The pix aren't too good (batteries went dead!) but they will show that everyone is doing fine. I dropped and broke my Krups food scale this week so I can't show you that Sal is only a few grams away from weighing the same as Red, they're each around 1100 g. Sal is as stinky as ever. I can't let them out together for too terribly long because Sal bites Red; they seem to enjoy each other's company, and I find them huddled together in the cat food bag (otherwise empty, of course), but occasionally I will find a scabbed-over bite, so I know that Sal has been attacking Red. Yet if I put him in the bathroom alone, Sal starts wheeeeeeeeking his little heart out wanting company. I bought a large farm-type bale of hay at a farm supply store (40 in L x 20 in W x 14 in H) and they are loving nesting in it and eating it. It cost only $4.50 (£2.85) and will last 2-3 months. Anyway, I've been gone but you've not been forgotten.
