Please keep your fingers crossed for Harrison

Thank you. He is acting perfectly fine but then he was when he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.

Anyway, the vet has just phoned and said so long as he isn’t losing weight, she isn’t worried as it could take him a while to gain back the weight he lost but has suggested that I take him in to be weighed with the nurse just to make sure he isn’t losing and to put my mind at rest so he’s going in on Tuesday morning. He won’t be happy x

Try and let the vet guide you Claire.weight gain takes time.maybe ask the vet for cat diet for weight gain.when Katie had a big op for mammary cancer.i had to try and get her to lose weight !The vet just suggested if I was concerned about Katie at any stage to ring the practise, and see a vet nurse at anytime. Which helped me,knowing I had support.
I hope he continues to make steady progress.x

Thank you. I’m just worried that he’s losing instead of gaining which wouldn’t be good. I just want my chunky cat back 😞 I shall ask the nurse on Tuesday for good weight gaining diets.

I weighed him on the bathroom scales and he was 3.7kg. He was 3.9kg just before he had his thyroidectomy but I guess my scales and the vets scales aren’t the same? x
