Specialist Please, i need help! Sausage link poops

Please use the medications calculator in the link in my last post to compute the best dose and then the maximum dose for your piggy's weight. 0.5 mg is cat strength, so this will last you for about 5-6 days.
I would recommend to rather use a 1 ml syringe for measuring out the meloxicam than the weight one in the pack

ok thanks, according to the calculations with his weight, for major pain I must give him 0.65 ml every 12 hours. I'll start with this dose then.

All the best! I hope that the painkillers will perk him up again a bit. You can safely up it to about 10 ml if he is in real agony and no longer wanting to eat as a short term measure.

thank you very much. We will observe him. And increasing the dose when necessary.
 
Hi. A few hours ago our beloved piggie left for the rainbow. In my arms. I hope I have done everything possible to make him feel good. Thanks for all the advice and words in this last stretch of our little boy.
 
AnaMT - I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you did an amazing job, going out of your way to get him the best care possible. He was also a good age and it sounds like he had a happy and content life with you. Some countries like the UK are so much more advanced when it comes to small pet care. I am in Spain and so I know how hard it is to find a suitable vet who knows what to do with cobayas - but you did the absolute best that you could for him. Sending you much love. x

So sorry for the loss of your beloved piggy. You did as much as you possibly could for him and he was obviously much loved. Unfortunately, we cannot hold back time and age takes it's toll on their tiny bodies.
