Patsy's lost weight

Patsy has a horrendous UTI with lots of white blood cells and a rock hard bladder. She has been prescribed 0.3ml of Baytril and 0.25 ml Metacam twice a day. If she's no better in 2 days I have to contact Rachel on PetsApp and she can up the Metacam dose.

Poor little girl :( She's in the best hands with you Jackie, sending lots of healing vibes! x

Poor Patsy, she did look rather swollen in that photo, hopefully with such prompt treatment she will make a quick recovery, and hopefully its just been this UTI brewing that has contributing to the weight loss too and she will pick up once its cleared x

Oh poor girl. Hope the medication works and she starts to feel better soon.xx

Oh poor girl. She must be so uncomfortable. Hopefully the meds will kick in soon and she will pick up for you xx

Poor Patsy! Sending heeling vibes for a speedy recovery!

I feel really bad, I should have noticed she was uncomfortable last week. I am still getting to know her so must have missed the signs that I would have picked up on had it been one of the others.

Don't feel bad, I doubt you missed any signs. I didn't spot any signs with Peanut's UTI until he did a very bloody wee and he must have been brewing it for a while. He didn't even do a squeaky wee, I would have heard him if he did as they live in the living room and I'm with them most of the time. His urine didn't smell bad or anything until after the blood.

Dont feel bad, you're such a lovely caring owner. Sometimes they hide things so well that it's hard to spot the signs x

Aw, don’t be so hard on yourself, you are so caring with all your piggies and have a lot on your plate with all their meds. Ted has 0.25ml x 2 daily, these little Metacam junkies 😄
Wishing little Patsy a speedy recovery x

Aw poor Patsy 😟 Hopefully she perks up now she's got metacam to make her more comfortable while the antibiotics do their job xx

Patsy is in so much pain whenever she wees or poops. She is now stretching up on her front legs as well as her back legs whenever she wees which she wasn't doing this morning. She hasn't done any squeaky wees though she doesn't need to just the look in her eyes and her actions speak volumes! It must be so very sore for her. She loves to lie in the hay tray as I guess this is the most comfortable place for her but not the best for wicking away the moisture from all those painful wees. I have just renewed the pee pad and the hay in her favourite hay tray.

Hopefully the Metacam will start working soon. She is still drinking loads which is good as it'll flush out all that nasty infection but she completely stinks so when she is all better a bath is what will be needed. She hasn't got any urine scald. I looked her over and so did the vet.

Patsy and I would love to say thank you to everyone for their get well wishes and hugs and healing vibes.

Healing wheeks to pretty Patsy and hugs to you 💕

This is probably the reason why Patsy was losing weight and generally feeling bad :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: IMG_3088.JPG

She passed this massive stone a couple of hours ago while I was syringe feeding her accompanied by a rather painful SQUEAK!
She is now fast asleep in the hutch. Poor Patsy will feel a lot more comfortable with that out of her bladder.
