Just got my old lady out for playtime with her buds and found her to be bleeding slightly from her vagina (again, had the same issue at the end of January which was treated and no issues since). She’s also got a little crusty on her left ‘invisible’ nipple, well where it would be if not removed years ago due to her mammary gland cyst.

Poor Jessie-woo, not happy to just go to my local vets this time round (she was treated with Baytril last time as we put it down to a similar infection she had in the past and it worked then) as I’ve got a bit of a suspicion there might be ovarian cysts going on :doh:Especially as twice now in less than six months.
So a trip to Cat and Rabbit for as soon as possible I think, aaargh trains and hovering around in a car park it is! :mal:
She’s not acting weird at all, actually just did a few zoomies with the youngsters, munching away and no weight loss so a bit of a surprise, happy she’s not seeming in pain but a bit scared with her being nearly 7 and a half now bless her! :fog:

Thanks @piggieminder, obviously she thinks I’m missing Simon as not seen him in a while! :doh:Really hope it’s nothing too serious, I can’t put her through another op, she was amazing with the eye in October but took her a long time to get back to normal (well, she’s never been that really, why she’s so special! :))) so we shall just see what happens I guess and try not to worry(!) x

Thanks @Piggies&buns and @daveclark79 :)

Thanks @David Piggie Lover, these troublesome piggies! Hope your ladies are ok x
Thank you. I think Florence is back over her weight loss. She's very cheeky and better.
Course the cancer could return BUT we being postive .
Thanks sorry to hear about Jess. Xx

Oh good, so pleased for you gorgeous Florence's weight’s getting back to normal :) Hopefully you’ll have a rest from naughty ladies causing trouble for a while now!
Thanks so much xx

Just a quick question as I’ve never had an ultrasound done on a piggy before, will she need to be booked in for an all day Simon visit or is it something that can be done in a regular appointment (if that makes sense)? I know different vets probably do it differently but if anyone’s had one at C&R etc?
Getting my simple brain prepared slightly! :)) (As obviously taxis, trains and nowhere open atm!)

Thanks a lot @ChloeThePiggieLover, hope your little girl’s ok :)

Sorry your Jess is having issues again, I hope Simon can work out what it is and get her back to normal.
Ultrasound is usually done without anaesthetic, in my (human and puggie) experience. Not sure if they would need to shave her tummy for a better view though. Best of luck x

She'd need to stay in, I think. Ring and ask them.

Thanks for the reply and well wishes, with me having mainly boars in the past the ovarian cyst thing’s a bit new to me (thankfully!).
She’s great with handling as well bless her. Hopefully all ok and easy to treat🤞Thanks x

When you ring, if they say she has to stay in for the procedure, explain that you are having to take the train and get a taxi, etc and see if they will let you go in and wait inside the waiting room. I am sure they would let you. It's such a big waiting area, that you can socially distance from everyone.

Oh sorry just missed that, thanks Debbie, will call them first thing Monday and see what they say! If you need anyone to clean pig cages then I’ll possibly be hovering around in Northampton for the day!:))

When she had the eye out in October I popped in and had a cuppa, used the loo and read my book (went a bit funny and thought a seizure was approaching ) so sure they won’t mind! They’re probably used to annoying me bothering them after all these years! :)) xx

Will obviously have to wear my mask on public transport too so hopefully they might be ok with it if I’ve got that on! :))

Aw poor Jess and what a worry for you :( Come on Jess. Get better for mummy x
Thanks Claire, obviously it’s been far too quiet this year and we’re due a bit of trouble! I’m just pleased she’s eating and looking ok so 🤞. She’s my little old fighter as you know! Might take Aliona with her this time, she’s not done the train experience yet bless her. And porky Luigi will probably squash her in the carrier these days! xx

It’s good that she’s acting normal. All the best x

Awww...Jess is probably missing Simon and Kim. Hopefully it won't be bad and easily treatable. ❤
Thank you x :) Simon hasn’t seen her since the eye op (we went to local vets to have her check up) so she probably wants to show him how much better it looks compared to her lumpy bumpy chinchilla brother’s one! 🙄x

Thanks @Claire W and @DougalandDiego xx

Hope jess is OK becci. I'd go to Simon as well if it was me. Hope it's something easily treatable xx
Thanks Gemma, slightly cacking myself already but hoping nothing too sinister as she’s still running around looking happy and munching. Would definitely rather him see her than anyone else, even if it’s a nightmare to get there atm xx

Did have to give her a mini bum bath before putting her back in clean cage and her grease gland’s looking a bit grubby too, that’s a first with her. Wasn’t too impressed but spent the whole time licking my arm rather than trying to escape bless her, she’s such a special little piglet :luv:
