New guinea pig

I'll look for cheaper models at more stores.
Thanks!

Make sure the gaps aren’t too big for either of them to slip through. Please see about separating today. And read all the links. It’s a lot but you have to do it.

We know all this information can be quite overwhelming but you will do it, once they are all settled, you will be happy that you tried. Owning Guinea pigs can be very rewarding!

If anyone can send a link to Amazon it would be great!

Can babies mate with their mother?

Yes, any boar over 250g/3 weeks (whichever comes first) is able to mate with their mother. The earliest documented pregnancy between brothers and sisters is 24 days. Mothers become pregnant again within hours of giving birth and are being chased around if a boar is in the cage with her, right over top of the new-born babies! A neutered boar will do this as well because he is not losing his instincts, only the ability to make babies. In a neutering operation only the testicles are removed but not the semen tubes. You have to wait for 6 weeks to make sure that all semen in the tubes has died off before a boar is safe to be with a sow.

The little baby in my avatar picture on the left if the unplanned daughter of a supposedly safe over 5 weeks post neutering operation boar. I can really happen as late as that! She is not the only verifiable case I have heard of. Please wait for the full 6 weeks. Our advice is following the practice of the RSPCA, the official animal welfare organisation in England and Wales.

If you find our rules too strict, please keep in mind that we have very good reason for this. Behind every rule is a bad experience that has come at the cost of guinea pigs lives.

PLEASE read our pregnancy advice! Breeding without the first idea of basic biology and the risks involved is the best recipe for creating a real big mess. Many of my adopted guinea pigs come from situations like that; several of the worst affected from places where this has been going uncontrolled on for several generations because people were not able to sex their guinea pigs properly.
Because we are not a breeding forum, this advice is only visible to registered members who have accepted our non-breeding forum rules when they were joining the forum.

Spread out size: 115 * 100 * 38cm
The language is not simple to me.
You don't have to get upset.

I’m going to be blunt again. We are an English speaking forum and our rules do ask for English to be used in posts. So it’s not unreasonable for us to ask you for the details if we can’t read them in your language. We are also clearly anti intentional breeding as stated in our rules that you agreed to when you joined. You joined us and asked for our help. We are doing our very best to help you but you seem not to want to follow our advice. We all give our time here voluntarily. If you don’t like the advice given, or don’t want to follow it, you are free to leave at any time. But please also bear in mind that we can also choose to close your account.

I really appreciate and thank you, and I have written this many times (welcome to check).
I'm trying to write my best, and I don't think it's okay to patronize me just because I'm from Israel.
Say I'm not listening to you ?
I spent hundreds of dollars following your advice-
Neuter: NIS 350
New cage: 300 NIS
Special hay: NIS 50.
And I work very hard for the money, I'd love not to underestimate me...
I'm not really going to argue, I'm just showing my side.

You’ve made a fair point. Guinea pigs are not cheap pets to keep in any country. We’ve all spent good money on buying appropriate cages, paying vets bills for health issues and neutering, and buying the correct pellets, hay etc. In fact, at times it feels like most of my income has gone on keeping my own piggies, but that is my choice.

I promise I will gain experience and help others.
How about the measurements? It looks okay?

No one is patronising you because you are from somewhere this is it a community where we don’t care where people may be from. So please stop with the insinuation

If it is 115cm long it is just under the Recommended 120cm Length for two pigs

What are they using as the unit of measurement please? In U.K. we use centimetres so if you can convert that will help us understand.
