My piggie is very ill.

Hey, I’m sorry that you are in this situation, you have the piggies best interests at heart and that’s what makes you a fantastic fur-mummy. Please be kind to yourself.
Can I please just say on the rat front, that they are truly amazing creatures and I have had 25 or more (I lost count) over the years, however they do also incur costly vet bills. They only live between 18 months to 3 yrs (if you’re lucky), so the vets bills will come a lot sooner as they age quicker. Please bare this in mind if it’s the cost you’re worried about. They have very similar ailments to piggies. You also have to mentally deal with the fact that they won’t be with you very long, it’s heartbreaking as you have to say goodbye so soon. I personally couldn’t cope with that in the end. I’m not trying to put you off, I’m just advising from my own experience of the wonderful little rascals.
