What kind of snake is spirit?

My dad has snakes he says the most intelligent and affectionate are the ball pythons
 
I think sweet potato said that Spirit is a corn snake.
We used to have a corn snake and Spirit looks like our old corn snake.

He's a corn snake. Ball pythons are cute but I could never own one for three reasons. 1 they can go for months/years without eating just refusing any food they're given and this is fine for them but my nerves couldn't take it spirit went on hunger strike for 4 months and I was in tears every time he refused a meal wondering why I was such a bad snake mother I couldn't take a year of that. 2 they have very prominent heat pits above their top lip to detect heat this is cool but they look wierd to me. 3 they need a hotter and more humid environment than my little baby here and that costs more and again is more to stress about. I would recommend a corn snake to anyone spirit is friendly and happy to be passed around he comes up to the glass to meet me when I get home and he's adorable. Ball pythons are cool. I love visiting my father in laws ball python. They're the right pet for someone but that someone is not me.
 
He/she is gorgeous. My corn snake used to occasionally lay eggs too. Garter snakes are also good as they are very easy to keep and handle. And beautiful šŸ˜

I've heard a lot of good things about garter snakes too I think they're a lot like corn snakes really. They're not as common in the UK pet trade as they are in the states sadly so I've never actually met one
