I have my first 2 foster pigs from BARC (Barnsley animal rescue)
They have been on the Rabbit United Forum, but the only interest in them has been from a family that was a bit put off because they are a bit skittish and not used to us big lolloping humans :))

Anyway their names are Brocolli and Sprout
Here are the little fellas

Brocolli is the oldest but under a year old and Sprout is the youngest.

I picked them both up this morning and left them to settle in their C&C cage. They had only lived outside and was rescued from a family that had mis-sexed the piggies, a 7 year old was in charge of their keep. They have ended up with a few dozen piggies now, and the girls are expected to be pregnant.
I have taken the boys on because I have boys myself so didnt want to upset my lads by taking in the girls.

Anyway on arrival here they just sat in a corner. I saw some movement about 2 hours later and they started to become a little more inquisitive. They tootled around a foot or so and got great joy from discovering a play tunnel and whizzing through it :)) Then Sprout found the snuggle sac and took delight rolling around in it and defending the enterance from Brocolli.

Then my 2 little men came pottering along 'Salt n Pepper' and the absolute elation from Brocolli, runnng up and down the grid dividers, pop-corning, doing figures of 8. :)) What a delight to watch.
The little 'Sprout' has been a little quieter, but now they are living indoor with us lot, the sound of me tapping away at my computer, the dog, the washing machine the comings and goings from my kids I hope they grow in confidence, and go to a brilliant new home that they deserve :)
More photos when they have settled in. :)p
Anyone with 5 star accomadation need apply :))

They're gorgeous. x) It's fantastic that you're fostering. I'm sure these boys will come on a long wy in your care and be ready to find a fabulous new home very soon. x

They are so so cute x) its lovely that your fostering these little fellas and a wonderful thing to do too :) Hope they continue to improve in leaps and bounds over the next few weeks and hope they find a loving forever home soon which I'm sure they will they are just so cute! :))

they are adorable, your doing a wonderful thing! lucky piggies:)

They're both doing great, Max absolutely loves his cuddles, I had him on my lap last night and he stretched out so his legs were sticking right out behind him and went to sleep. It was so cute when he woke up, he jumped up and started looking round as if to say "where am I?!" Woodys going to take a little more time, he's still wheeking for food all the time but he's looking so much better now, he's a stunning little fella

Brocolli is really coming out of his shell and likes to investigate new things. He even took a fenugreek Crunchie off me through the bars tonight, the smaller one Sprout is very wary and hides a lot.
I'm just giving them time at the minute, I gave them a good clean out this morning washed all their bedding and made them a new hay box area and Brocolli has been in for nom noms. Brocolli looks like my Pepper's brother! I have to do a double take when I see him and check its not Pepper that has squeezed in with the newbies :))
I am amazed at how much they positively interact when my Salt and Pepper go to their cage bars and they sniff each other. They are all so happy to be meeting other piggies its mesmerising to watch their interactions. I thought my boys wouldnt like newbies on their territory but it doesnt seem to bother them. I now think about people who only have one Guinea Pig and how much they are missing out on the social interaction. :(
