Salt n Peppers mum
Adult Guinea Pig
I have my first 2 foster pigs from BARC (Barnsley animal rescue)
They have been on the Rabbit United Forum, but the only interest in them has been from a family that was a bit put off because they are a bit skittish and not used to us big lolloping humans
Anyway their names are Brocolli and Sprout
Here are the little fellas
Brocolli is the oldest but under a year old and Sprout is the youngest.
I picked them both up this morning and left them to settle in their C&C cage. They had only lived outside and was rescued from a family that had mis-sexed the piggies, a 7 year old was in charge of their keep. They have ended up with a few dozen piggies now, and the girls are expected to be pregnant.
I have taken the boys on because I have boys myself so didnt want to upset my lads by taking in the girls.
Anyway on arrival here they just sat in a corner. I saw some movement about 2 hours later and they started to become a little more inquisitive. They tootled around a foot or so and got great joy from discovering a play tunnel and whizzing through it
Then Sprout found the snuggle sac and took delight rolling around in it and defending the enterance from Brocolli.
Then my 2 little men came pottering along 'Salt n Pepper' and the absolute elation from Brocolli, runnng up and down the grid dividers, pop-corning, doing figures of 8.
What a delight to watch.
The little 'Sprout' has been a little quieter, but now they are living indoor with us lot, the sound of me tapping away at my computer, the dog, the washing machine the comings and goings from my kids I hope they grow in confidence, and go to a brilliant new home that they deserve
More photos when they have settled in.
