Has Anyone Tried Ziggiepiggies Cage Liners?

I'm soooo bad! I've just spent a fortune on liners and beds etc! I could keep going if my bank account would let me lol. I'm having my liners made with 2 different fleece patterns on each side so I have more options to change up the cages :) lol x

Sounds wonderful. I'm off work tomorrow so I'll be sewing my own liners :D Might work on some decorations for the cage to fit with little themes ect :)

I've made my own 2x3 liners for the other part of the cage. They surprisingly turned out really well considering I've never used a sewing machine in my life lol. Also made cuddle cups and snoozie bags and a few other things. I'll have to have a look and see if I have some pics :) X

I prefer the candecosies liners over Ziggies as CandE use "Zorb" cores although they are a touch more expensive I find the trade off more than worth it.
CandE are polite when they respond but as it is largely a 1-2 person operation the correspondence can be rather slow.

For other accessories I prefer Ziggy, her customer service level is far higher, her accessories are more varied and extremely well made and she always replies the same day!

Yeah, every time I messaged ziggie she got back within minutes! I was well impressed! I've got the zorb liners, only complaint I have is that the fleece isn't sewed tight to the zorb which makes it a little harder to sweep/Hoover poop, but not a big problem. Also the zorb doesn't go right to the edge of the liner so you have to be a little more careful when putting it down that the zorb is definitely covering the base around all the edges. They are very easy and quick to wash and dry tho, I can put a 2x6 in the machine and still have room for a couple of pee pads if needed! X

Theyre great! Don't think mine will turn out that well but I can try :D
This is what I went by to make the cuddle cups:
Cavy Kingdom: how to make a guinea pig cuddle cup! {sewing required}
If I were doing them again I'd go a couple of inches bigger for the bottom.
I had to hand sew most of it as I used very thick wadding. I'm sure there is a way to do them on the machine.
Also made these:
Instructions: How to make a Corner Hammock
The piggies love hiding under these!
I made a little door shape on the front which I prefer as you can see who's inside lol X

I have the c a e cosie ones. I paid £46 for 2 which on reflection I thought was expensive.

I have since made my own with mattress protectors and fleece and I've been really pleased with them :)

I can't make cosy though but would love to give it a go

@Laura mason how did you make this one if you don't mind me asking

I cut out 5 squares of fleece (roughly the size of 1 c&c cube). I placed 1 light pink piece face up on the floor and set the dark pink ones on top one by one, each time only leaving one side along the edge of the pale pink fleece and tucking the rest in so I didn't stitch it. I done that on three sides and then set my other pale pink piece on top face down, so everything is tucked into 1 little square (I pinned everything in place. I then stitched around 3 sides and through the open end pulled everything through. All the stitching will now be hidden and you have 3 curtains coming down. I then stitched around the pale pink again leaving roughly 1 1/2 inch from the edge. Then I cut up the darker pink to make the curtain bits. To hang it I got garden wire (3mm) and bent it so it hooks over the grids on each end and threads through the 1 1/2 inch gap you sewed. I don't know if that makes sense lol. I'll try and get some pics X

Thank you if you could that would be a great help! It looks fab as does all your other bits and bobs :)

Excuse the wire on the pink one, I kept changing where it was on the cage (some places I was hanging it was 2 grids up and some 1, so I had to keep bending the wire into different shapes lol). The blue hammock is basically done exactly the same way only without the curtain bit and on a smaller scale ...but you can see how the wire should look if your not messing with it lol. The wire for the pink one is exactly like the one I have pictures only on a bigger scale...poc is of hammock one. Hope that makes a bit of sense lol X

I'm going to sound really silly but the blue one is it just a case of sewing a few layers of fleece together but leaving a hole each side to insert the wire?

O

yeah! Lol. U just cut double the size of seat you want, fold it in half, sew up both sides leaving one side open. Turn it right way out, tuck in messy ends if you want to make it neat, and sew a little boarder round your peice of fleece to get the wire through. The wire needs to be quite strong so I found 3mm best to hold the piggie but not too hard to bend into shape. My piggies love these and they take no time at all to make X

Your piggies are lovely :) love their beds so going to try making some this week. I made my own liners which I was impressed with. Only thing is I have a ferplast cage so hopefully they won't be too high for them!

Where do you get your wire from?

I got 20m X 3mm galvanised garden wire for £7.32 from Amazon. I've made lots out of that and still have lots left over so U probably don't need to order that much lol. Is your cage the ones with the wires running diagonally across instead of squares? I took one of the hammock beds up to Sam in Assisi before I was able to bring him home as he was getting treated for ringworm and couldn't come home for 6 weeks, and it worked fine in his cage and not too high for him to jump onto. The hammock covers are 24 X 31cm to give you a rough idea of size X

U'll have to send me some pics when/if you get round to making them! :) I need to make lots of pee pads and two 2x3 liners this week! Just got lots of pretty new fleece in the post so I've been washing away getting it ready :). Can't wait for my order to arrive from ziggy, and I've also an order coming from piggiepigpigs....my poor bank account has taken a beating this month! Lol x

I ordered two of the baby pink ones last night lol. Love the coral one (one of my favourite colours) but nothing in my cages is coral so thought I'd stick to the pink :) X

I have a frozen Olaf fleece which I am yet to do anything with :)

I need to get something else for the absorbent layer. Was thinking of something other that mattress protectors. Any ideas
