Guinea pig attacked by dog

Are your vets syringe feeding her? Guinea pigs cannot be left without food for long.

Fingers very firmly crossed. Guinea pigs are only small and comparatively fragile animals when the chips are down. :(
Thanks

Then please speak to the vet.
I'm going in for a check up tomorrow, should I wait until then or go now.
Also, should I try and book an appointment with my usual vet (who has always done the health checks on Ginger Nut) about this rather than the woman I have had recently.

I agree - guinea pigs don’t always show pain and not all vets understand how important it is to give pain relief.
Hope the syringe feeding goes well.
I used to alternate some syringe food with cucumber for Jemimah after her op. It helped.
Caring for a sick piggy is both time consuming and worrying- holding you in my thoughts

Apparently, this incident happened in January.

@MissGpigQueen you have caused lots of confusion with your 2 threads. As I understand it your thread about you introducing Ginger Nut was relating to an incident in January 2018 but the incident with the dog was last Thursday.

Please can we see photos of the stitches?

YOUR PIG NEEDS FOOD Pls help us to help you. Several people on here have suggested what to do to try and help.
Pls how is piggie

I have been syringe feeding her and she seems a bit better. I contacted my usual vet and asked her to sort out some pain killers. Now Ginger Nut is on pain killers she is moving a bit more.

What pain killer is she having? And can we see photos of the stitches? When is she going back to have them removed?

She is hiding in a tunnel at present, I will try and get a pic, should I risk moving her?

There seem to be a quite a few people confused by this, the situation with the dog was on Thursday, the incident in January (about the introduction) was totally unrelated.

She is on Metacam and is going back to get them removed on the 8th (10 days after the operation.

I have tried to get her out but I am struggling and don't want to risk hurting her or pulling the stitches out.
