Oh my this piggie is testing me again.
You know when your piggie not right.
She's been quiet no squeaks or herself and picking at food. . She loves her food and the odd treat. .
I put it down to weather tho their room is shaded I've had cuddles but the love not herself.
WEIGHT down nearly 100 since Monday so this morning we had Syringe breakfast 5 or 6 which she had ok..
Lots fresh Hay and food about and put her back. She had a wobble about and was not for being picked up again she can hide when needs too. Lol. Mrs Dougal is ok and helping.
My last day work today (furlough) will be able to watch her.
Any suggestions guys as always are welcome.

She's not like showing no intrest in life just not herself
I'm going to see how she is after couple days syringe feed (if needed) see if that gets her going.
Think if I took her vets today be like she's lost 100 in 4 days then be told to syringe feed and see how she is etc.
I thank you . . Course if after work she's like not interested etc then yep off we go. .
I hope this is slave worry. She did love her Feed this morning munch away.[/QUOTE]

Poor Florence and poor you with all this worry. Hopefully it's just a wobble and she will pick up again. It's so difficult with the lockdown knowing whether to rush to the vet. I know what you mean about them saying syringe feed for a few days and see how she goes. If she doesn't pick up very quickly I would ring for advise.

Sorry to hear this Dave. I agree with syringe feeding to keep her going but is she’s not eating for herself then I would get her seen by the vets sooner rather than later. Lethargy and lack of interest in food could mean she’s got an illness or problem that needs treating sooner rather than later. This lockdown has made it so difficult for us piggy owners, but I think I’d ask them to see her today or tomorrow if you can.

Thanks Ruth. . I'm waiting for vet to ring. and @ 4.00 I'm free for 21 days . .
Sure this can be fixed she normally gobbles her food but she's picking still eatin a little Seems to love Cumcumber lol.
 
Do you think this could be a problem from where the vet done that needle biopsy, do you remember @furryfriends (TEAS) warning you about it when she first got that lump on her chin area?

Not a trying to worry you mate. But it could be the case.

No. A lot has happened since then.. . Her original thread has all details tho. .

You know when your piggy isn't right. I have now been twice to Northampton to find out what is wrong with Meg. My vets, as you probably remember, could find nothing wrong. I just got back from Northampton and from what Simon was saying it's a keep Meg comfortable job now ....
 
Spoken to vet and given meds I still have. Gut jobbie and metacam.
Florence is poorly and she's just can't be asked.
She's had some leaves not much and cucumber.. .Gone to bed for sleep . .Course Mrs Dougal watching her..
 
Home.
She had a feed at 12am and showed intrest in food and I went to bed better than I was earlier. feed this am .4 metcalm and couple syringe feed. Weight loss hardly any. Tho 1oo in a week.
Vet gave her a through check. Teeth good . Food in mouth. Heart breathing etc good . . No lumps etc.
i explained shes defo not herself.
He said he had removed a bit of a stitch which could be troubling her and he was not worried with what hes seen with her this morning. . So plan is feed if needed. Meds and if she continues to lose weight then a blood test.
I've booked her in for another check up tue 11.
She had some leaves and cucumber once home and now asleep.

Hopefully she just needs a little more support feeding while she gets right. She has had a lot of stress recently. It's so horrible when they aren't right I wonder sometimes why we put ourselves through it. Then I get up in the morning and there are three faces saying good morning and I remember why 🙂
