FLORENCE . . Not right. 😣

Yes . . 2 xays one when Tumor was removed and one today. I asked about swelling and none.
X rays don't really show if there is a tiny spur rubbing, or if the teeth are slightly longer than they should be. Have you seen the vet slide the jaw from side to side, to make sure it moves smoothly? As I mentioned previously, Simon thought Claude's teeth looked perfect, but after taking the tiniest amount off them, Claude started to eat really well.

Thank you.
I'm struggling with teeth. I've ask twice and the Vet said they are fine. . .

They may well be, but I just know this is something that is often missed, even by the most experienced vets. What are your vets suggesting now?

Thanks for support.
I feel absolutely awful to again put Florence tho the mill in trying to make her better.
She's again looks so sad and I'm a bad piggie slave. She's had meds and I've got results from scan and xrays.
I mesage l8tr . Phone dead

If you can take her to Simon he would be able to check teeth easily, without needing to put her through anaesthetic! He’s also more likely to have an idea about what’s going on, it it’s not dental, as he sees so many guinea pigs, every day.

So sorry to hear that Florence still isn't well dave. I agree that if you could get up to see Simon, it would be worth it. I live about 12 miles from his practice and always go there for anything serious or when my local vets have not given me any answers xx

Yes, I agree, for me every single mile is worth the effort getting to see Simon when Bill or Ted have had problems. We always bang on about his dental skills, but that’s only one area of experience they have. Their (Kim and Simon) experience with piggie illnesses in general are second to none. I have complete trust in any diagnosis they make, it’s worth the journey to get a proper diagnosis, takes all the worries away too, wondering what’s wrong.
Hope you can get find out what’s wrong and get her better Dave

I had an old boar named sky a few years ago, and he stopped eating as much, but I could not see anything wrong with him, then he would eat loads again for weeks, and then stop again. I took sky to see Kim, she wiggled his back lags about a bit, straight away it was yep, arthritis starting. Was sent home with metacam, and all was well after this one appointment

Thank you everyone for the replys.
Florence was quickly into squeaking form. . when home
As suggested I asked Sheryl about teeth and was given they are good. . Florence has not stopped eating just after the Tumor removed she still is eating but suddenly had a weight loss hence why I took her back. . . . I will and always put my piggies health 1st. . Some of you will remember Cocoa who rare mouth cancer was missed by 3 vets until we travelled to Holms Chapel and sadly they found it. So travelling is NOT a problem but
Florence last week was not intrested in any food hay treats etc.. . This is taken now as I write this. 20200602_231105.webp
Peace in a hay pile with Mrs Dougal sleeping . Yes her eating as wild as pre op is not the same now but having a 120gms Tumor removed via chin might/be the reason. . . Tonigjt She has eaten when home . . Greens . . A baby Tom as a treat and last hour still in box and I can hear her chops munching. . new hay from p@h £4.99 a bag
Also found out today she has 3 small ovarian cyst which could be paining her but hopefully not. . .
If next few days luckly I'm off work she loses more weight or looks struggling then I will ring Simon and his team. I'm giving a vet who is highly sought after and is well respected a chance. .

How is Florence today?
Bl__dy noisy and restless . . Which as piggie slave is tired and stressed has been a great tonic.
I'm keeping them in middle room as both seem happy . . Not as much room but enough for one to wobble off and other follow . . .
She's shown no sighs of her day yesterday and as she was so good this am I forgot to give her  metacam.
