Eric is unwell 😣

Hiya, hope your ok and little Eric is too, still thinking of you, await update in anticipation x

Hello all,

I picked Eric up from the emergency vets this morning and took him straight to Simon and Kim in Northampton. He had become very flat again, but most concerning was the fact he had not peed or pood for 36 hours.

After a long journey Simon took one look at him, had a feel and found a huge stone in his urethra, that nobody else found apparently. He immediately rushed him into surgery to remove it. He would have liked to have kept him longer but they were closing soon so he is home with us. Hopefully now he will begin to eat and drink a little on his own. If he won't take enough syringe feed we are to take him back to the emergency vet for some subcut fluids.

He is currently snuggled up in his bed with a snugglesafe.

He has done a huge, albeit a bit bloody, wee!

Fingers crossed he perks up at home as he is still very sleepy at the moment.

Wow what a day for you and lovely Eric !
Thank goodness you took him to Simon and Kim.
That was a big stone.
🤞he will recover quickly …..and it’s great he did a big wee!
Sending healing hugs to your brave little piggy.

Oh that’s good news. He’s surely going to feel a lot better with that out of his system! Well done on getting this far, you’re doing brilliantly.

Wow, Eric is so lucky that Simon was able to make an immediate diagnosis. Fingers crossed he will start to feel better soon. xx

Aww wow, big stone, I’m so glad it’s out, hopefully he will improve now, big hugs 🤗

Oh poor Eric, that sounds excruciating. Thanks goodness the stone is out. Hope he now perks up for you.

Ah bless him ….that’s lovely to see. I’m sure he’ll be happy with the cuddles and extra food.
Come on Eric we all send you lots of love and healing hugs 🥰

He's still very flat. Had 7ml more of cc but still seems very sleepy. I'm worried about him 😢 he's also pretty much constantly peeing, which I guess is better than none at all.

It sounds so stressful, I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Hopefully he’ll perk up after he’s rested - it has been an exhausting day for him and for you all and that must take its toll. You’re giving him the best care and doing all you can, you even got him to an outstanding vet too. I hope tomorrow brings some improvement for the little guy.

Sending healing vibes Eric’s way ❤️ And a hug for you 🤗.

That’s a massive stone. Poor thing. He must have been in agony. Brilliant that it was sorted so quickly.

Morning, hoping you and sweet Eric are ok today and that Eric is resting after his stone removal, poor baby, big hugs 🤗

Morning everyone, it is with a broken heart I have to tell you all Eric passed away half an hour ago, snuggled up in his cosy bed on my lap, surrounded by the people who love him the most.

He didn't recover overnight and we were due to take him back to the emergency vets to go for his forever sleep, I'm so glad he went at home where he feels comfortable and safe.

It's crushing to think the stone was gone, bladder flushed, the problem was finally solved. Simon said the toxins building up in his body could just be too much. I guess he had had enough.

My super chilled, big chunky fluffy fella. RIP little man, mummy loves you always. We'll look after Larry for you x ❤️

I’m gutted to hear this, my heart goes out to you, you did absolutely everything for him, may the little baby rest in peace and jump over the rainbow 🌈 big hugs and be proud of yourself for all the help and love you gave him. 😔

I'm so sorry- you must be in pieces. You really pulled out all the stops for lovely Eric and did so much for him, you gave him the best possible chance and he will have known how much he was loved and cared for. What a traumatic time for you. I’m glad he was able to pass at home in familiar and calm surroundings, although can only imagine how devastated you must have felt, especially after all you’ve done for him. You must be exhausted too. Take care of yourselves.

Oh no I’m so sorry to hear this. You did all you could for Eric and he knew just how much he was loved.
