Hope everyone is ok?

I lost the top of my chicken run last night, my metal shed also moved but not far.

thank fully I took the trampoline down and put away on the weekend, as the climbing frame ended up in the field opposite.

I hate the wind I didn't sleep a wink last night and have had a bad head all day because of it
we still have 7 fisherman missing at sea, since last week. divers went down yesterday but it got called off because the winds picked up.

hope things settle down for us all soon

hugs to all

karen

We were soo worried we would loose our chicken pen too! but thankfully all is fine on the allotments. I don't get it, there is old battered greenhouses even *I* could push down, yet these strong winds don't?

Just seen the night 6 o'clock news here and we've had the report on you all in the UK it's terrible as i've read on here.
Really feeling for you all, hope everyone here is OK.
Thinking of you all :-*
Going to message my son, he was returning from South Africa thursday i'm hoping all went well with his flight, you know how mum's worry :(
The US has had it's problems too with dreadful storms i hope all is well with my friends from there too :-*

well I'm still here a tree fell on a mans car with his wife and young daughter still in it but luckly the car saved them from being crushed, my sons fences not only blew down but blew away,
more is expected tonight and tomorrow,
just had an email from my friend in Iowa USA and she has snow, she often has to put chains on her car, we just let it make the whole country stop dead as we dont know how to cope with it, lol
would you believe a skip lorry had its skip blown off the lorry in the wind amazing them things are heavy,

motorways are closed here too. It wouldn't be safe for us to use our car as it's a high roof one and you can see it swaying in the wind outside anyway!

I drive my now "ex's" big Toyota Hilux Surf around usually with a ton of the tools in the back & it was being shoved all over the roads yesterday. I thought that nothing could shift that as it weighs 2 tonnes apparantly! Goes to show Mother Nature aint no push over - or global warming.....

its building up here again, the winds back with a vengence to get everyone it did'nt get first time around, did you know the wind was called storm Kirrill, amazing their naming the damn things now,

There's some pics of freshwater bay on that BBC link :)

just looked at it and am amazed as we was pootling round their last summer in a little boat, it was like that everywhere, Cowes was flooded as well as other places, brothers electric was off today as well,
