Hi Cocoa
Your long distance lover boar here! I know you aren't well at the moment and your leg and lip are causing you problems. Please try and get better. I too love Metacam:drool: Last night Velvet and Meg tried to get to it too but it is just for me cos I am special and my Hooman loves me lots and she told them off for trying to have some.
Lots of love to you and your Hooman Slaves.
Christian

Well hello lovely Cocoa. Hoe you are enjoying being back with your sisters and having lovely Metacam. You really are keeping us all guessing aren’t you? I’ve got a few questions for your mum and dad. Is it one leg or both legs that aren’t working now?
Did she have another X-ray today or was that just discussed? If she did, what did it show? Any results on the biopsy?

Hiya. It’s the left leg that’s much worse & dragging but the right legs not great either but much better than the left. She had 2 X-rays today but while she was awake, really to see if anything had happened to her spine & legs. The leg problem has definitely occurred since she went in for her procedure last Friday. The X-ray today didn’t show much different but her gas has gone. We still waiting for biopsy result. Xx

Did you ask the vet about the Johnson’s 4joints? A friends piggy had the same thing happen, after surgery to remove a bladder stone. Gino lost the use of both his front legs, so couldn’t even drag himself about. We started him in 4joints and he began to show progress after a few days. He eventually regained the use of his legs.

We didn't mention it as I wanted to hear what the vet thought. . I be speaking to her soon and i want to get knowledgeable about it before.
As mentioned Friday she went in for Biopsy and I know things happen and if it has let's get her fixed. or able to get around.
I will defo mention it and a massive thank you. I'm sat here with Cocoa on my knee.

No results on the biopsy yet. Both leg are very week her left is nearly imobile and gets dragged.
We started a course again of metacam and hope something happens. Kris is shocked and said she going to have a talk to other exotic to see if they can help.
it's sad seeing her like this but and we see she's back with her friends and so far doing ok but dam Heidi is naughty.

Update in Cocoa.
It's not great she's no better.
I'm going to contact the vets who did the Biopsy and hopefully get some answers.
She has lost use both back legs and gets arround pulling on her front one's and you can imagine how very very pitiful and sad that is to see.
She's with her friends and as they get around she watched but is eatin and tryin.
What the heck has happened no one seems to know but her history of her Gait is their I love her so. 20180630_215626.webpdownloadfile-105.webp

I was just thinking about how things were earlier. Really sad to read this and hoping the vet can give you a solution. Think we all feel so helpless, sending love xx

Please ask the vet if they’re happy for you to give the Johnson’s 4joints. I’m not saying it’ll definitely help, but have had really good results with it for leg weakness. I just think it’s worth a try. We give 0.3 ml once per day.
Many thanks for this and
we got some sat. do you administer it on food or syringe pls.

Is she on vetbed aswell as hay? When my Ellie was like this she needed to be on vetbed to keep her as clean as possible and had to have daily bum baths. Poor girl.

Pls may I ask how did Ellie get on and what caused her to be without leg movement. Thank You. Dave

Sadly we had to have her PTS as there was no improvement and our vets were concerned that even being on vetbed and with the bum baths she was getting urine scald. This was in the days before we went to Simon though so the outcome may have been different if it happened now.

Could your vets do a scan?
