Can piggies eat fresh pineapple?

They can. My vet told me to give some to Bilbo to help with his impaction. It makes the intestinal tract sticky and poo forms better. Only sometimes tho as its high in sugar!

They can, but I would be very careful about the sugar and the fact that it is quite high in acidity, which could cause mouth sores. I would only feed it in very small quantities. You may find that many piggies won't like it.

Thanks guys:) we've got a bit left over from making cheese and pineapple bites on cocktail sticks:))

The middle girl has a permanently dirty butt these days:)) think she rubs herself in her wee rolleyes

I would be careful with pineapple as the acid, like in apples can cause fungal infections or/and mouth and lip sores.

I would not recommend it; even though it is not poisonous, I think that the risks greatly outweight the benefits!

Maybe put the left overs in some food for you? :)

^Gosh! My boys eat apples all the time - they love um!

Sorry, i forgot to add that dangers of apples only effect some guinea pigs with a weakness in their lips. If your's have been eating apples for a long time and have never had any problems then it is fine to eat them. :)
