Very pleased for your family and Biscuit. Simon is amazing, he has brought two of our piggies back from the brink of death when local vets failed us. Such a great man. He is worth every minute you spend travelling!

Okay we are a month down the line since the last visit and we have a serious issue going on! Daughter noticed this evening that one of her front teeth at the bottom has grown through her lip she seems absolutely fine in her self and is eating fine but obviously this isn’t great! Will book her in with Simon ASAP. She doesn’t struggle when we try and look and seems as chilled as always. In a little bit of shock right now, did not expect that to happen!

Oh gosh what a shock for you, don’t panic, if you ring up at 8.00 am tomorrow you may be able to get an emergency appt or one on Saturday/next week. I would email a photo to them if you can too but don’t rely on getting an appointment by email, ring them
Good look let us all know how you got on. Debbie at TEAS had a guinea pig last year that had an incisor growing through its nostril, Simon removed the tooth and he was fine @furryfriends (TEAS)

Just saw the request for photos. Here’s a few. Mostly where my daughter is messing around with her putting veg on her, it’s a regular occurrence as she lets her do everything daughter is 17 btw x

Are you sure that’s a tooth? Looks a little like hay stalk? But still needs looking at either way x

Ring the practice at 8 am on the dot! The emergency appointments go really quickly, but if you ring dead on 8 am, you should get one! Try not to worry! I'm sure Simon will sort it! xx

Just caught up with this amazing thread. Good luck at the (wonderful) vet. Hope it is easily sorted.

Okay so it gets weirder I’ve got my daughter to bring her inside so I can have another look and I noticed that the tooth was through the lip but broken off the other side. I gave it a tiny wiggle and it’s out! Her front teeth don’t last more than a few weeks before they snap so this is the longest she’s ever had one! She now has a hole in her lip but her gum is as normal. I’m panicking now it will get infected but it does look clean (like a piercing) the minute I did it I gave her some veg to make sure she wasn’t in pain (she doesn’t have much fear so always eats whatever and wherever she is) she wolfed it down and searched for more. This pig will be the death of me I’m not as worried about seeing Simon now as her teeth are as good as they always are but do I need to take her to my local vet for antibiotics?
