Attempting Fleece Again

Hah that was the liquid type of fabric conditioner/softener. I didn't put it in thankfully and only used the powder. The fleece has finished the first wash and now on spin + pump out, then it can go in the airer to dry :D

Little confused on something though. Should I put it in the tumble drier for the first three or four piggy unused washes and then start hanging it out in my garden for the rest of the time? I read this and it said the heat of the tumble drier would keep the piggy smell in, but if it was raining is have no other choice to use it.

Personally I see no difference on tumble dried and line dried fleeces, all mine come out fine. They get dried according to the weather, either in the tumble dryer, out on the liner or on the maidens in the conservatory.

Personally, I don't bother with tumble dry, it may progress shrinkage of the fleece, and usually when we take it out the machine it is virtually dry anyway! :D
Not sure about the smell though.

Same was as old fleece :) I don't sew mine into liners until they have finished the shrinking process so I just fold one on top of the other until then.

I will :D Not sure if I'll be able to do it today though as it's getting late and I'll need to shovel the bedding out first.

Right ho! :D
Get a table spoon and just drop a bit of water onto it, if it sinks through it's ready, if it stays on top it needs another wash.

Thanks! But looking at it now, I won't be able to put it in tonight anyway as it needs at least two more washes :mal:

Oh yeah you might need two or three more. Do you wash it 30 degree each time? I find that's sufficient just to break the water barrier. Saves a bit of time instead of a hour long wash :)

I don't think that the temperature would actually affect the quickness of the water barrier. It's only really when it is washing when it's dirty that needs to be 60 degrees. You could try though? I've never experimented with it!

It is! It's really soft too. Sorry for held off reply, getting pictures off piggies that are currently on the lawn :) Though the people at the park behind my fence makes me nervous as they can see over at the highest point and they are pretty loud to be honest.

I'd do it if I could avoid getting in trouble! Very nosy ones, I remember four teenagers waving at me through the kitchen window while I was getting a drink. I waved back awkwardly and closed the blinds

I could fit in a hole smooth as butter ;)

That's probably not the right saying though heh. And true, but there has been a few robbers coming in. When we had some fish a while ago, one guy hopped over the fence and stepped on one in the pond :(

I'm going to go google smooth pickup lines in a minute just so I know one related to butter.

I know, made me annoyed. There was also a bird but Mother Nature decides that!

Also, so we don't get too off topic, my fleece has nearly finished the second wash. Around twenty six mins to go! :))
