My current one is another one like the Neuschwanstein I did - one I finally had to take out of the stack and do, otherwise I'd avoid it forever. I think this current one is worse though, at least last time it had different colours of foliage. Right now it's all just shadow. SHADOW.

I thought it would be the black areas that were the killer. With everything else you have got graduation.

It's hard to photograph well, but a good bit of it is blue, and the shadow cast by the tree is also blue. There's vegetation in both, and the lines are straight.

But the worst bit is around where the black and the dark side of the tree meet. Everything looks identical, just on different cut pieces.
 
Last time I went into the Charity Shop to hand back puzzles and pick up some more there was one that I'm hoping will be sold before I have to check it. It's a New York skyline at night. All black except for lights on in skyscrapers and the lights all looked identical when I looked at it quickly before dismissing it. There's lots of other puzzles to do before that one ......

It is a lovely picture but it is definitely challenging by the end with lots of indistinguished bits that could go anywhere as I found when I did mine.

I wish I was getting some sort of actual date on when the boiler's getting replaced, it's hard to find Bann a companion when they might end up in several different forms of temp accommodation til it's done. But he's okay, which is the important part, I just need to find myself some more distractions til I have something concrete.

And the jigsaw was fun, so there's that.

I sorta figured it'd be a challenge with the odd cut pieces, but also it's hard to get the pieces in the places because it's obvious where everything goes. And it was fun, lol.

It reminded me that I've got a scarf with the elements somewhere in the depth of my wardrope. And I even found it. :))
Haven't thought about it for ages.
