Hi everyone!
My piggies had some accidental pregnancies and we ended up with 5 baby boys, who are now 2.5 months old and they are split into groups of 3 babies and 2 babies and dad, and I came in today to find them all running after in circles humping every part of each other with all their boy parts out. They also had some moderate bickering but no serious blood drawing fights. is this normal behaviour for them?
Please help!

Sorry - please can you just confirm that you’ve got 2 groups of 3 including dad? If so I’m really sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Boar trios are extremely unstable and unlikely to succeed into adulthood. If you intend to keep all 6 you will realistically need to have them in 3 pairs. Best to work out who gets on with who and get them into 3 pairs who each get along. If this means putting 2 together who’ve been separated up to now then they will need to be introduced to each other on neutral territory before going into a new cage together.

Please have a read of these guides that I have linked below

I agree with Vicki.
Boar pairs work best so you are highly likely to need to separate into three pairs. Trios find it very hard to form a functioning hierarchy.

Each pair of boars need a cage of 180x60cm.

(To attempt boar trios, each cage needs to be at least 300x100cm but sadly as trios fail due to character clashes, no amount of space will resolve it).

hi yes they currently live each in a 3x5 Kavee but I was planning to split them into 3 pairs later on so I guess this is my signs to do it now however I did a little cage swap because of trying to match them by personality and they had totally settled down no more humping/bickering but I will still split them up again but is a 5x2 kavee big enough for a pair?
Thanks for all the advice♥️

A 5x2 should be ok for a pair.
