Womble and the plum fairy. :)

Glad Womble is well on the way to full recovery.
I think it’s perfectly normal to expect our piggies to be better immediately but like humans, it does take a day or two to recover from surgery.
I remember the joy I felt when Phoebe blessed me with a lap full of poops a day or so after she’d had some dental surgery.

And as an aside - hope you manage to sort out your wedding plans.

Well Cleo’s 3 months and think I’m going to lose a hand later with her meds so definitely don’t underestimate the power of the piggy diva! XD:D
What's her weigh at the moment? I want to see if my babies are around the same.

They’re all different obviously but she was bang on 670g yesterday!
My babies 449g and 500g when I weighed them last.
I was told they were between 3-4 months when I got them, but I doubt that was the case because they were 267g and 278g.
This was 15/11/2020.
I know it's difficult to estimate their age based on weight, but I'm trying to get a better idea.

Cleo’s been here about 5 weeks now, she’s put on about 90/100g ish.
But she was fed muesli and lots of naughty things, (think carrots were her main veg, not much else!) didn’t know what hay was and has had a stressful time this month so some good gains and then none depending on the week she’s had!
So probably seems like I’m starving her at times but just trying to get her to the ‘proper’ piggy diet and not the junk food one! Loves her hay now, most important thing!

Glad to see Womble is well on his way to full recovery - only 6 weeks to wait!
1 week gone tomorrow since his surgery.
I'm planning on doing the introductions from 16th/17th January? Maybe?
Maybe I should be more conservative and say 23rd January.
He had his surgery 11th December, the introduction is definitely going to be on a weekend because it's when I can keep an eye.

:yikes: Carrot is pure sugar! Poor bean! At least you're doing your best to get her back on track. :)
It's good she loves her hay now.

I had Micah's date written on the calendar.
In the end I let him loose with the girls the day before - he was so desperate to be with other piggies and he'd lived next to them for 6 weeks
:)) Gnashing at the bars was he? Lemme in! I want to see the girls....and then they tell them what's what, but he doesn't mind because he likes being a kept pig.

Yes I was naughty too and Jaspy was in the living room with the porky pair a day early with quarantine! I knew I’d be out the next and felt so bad for the lonely chap, glad I did! He’s loved these piggies around!
But Cleo’s caused the most trouble of course! :)) Fuzzy man’s been brilliant! No stress and lotsa cuddles!:)) These girlies have caused me the most trouble I think!(even with Pedro, his sister had visited Simon for years and he just held her paw!:)))

I hope mine integrate well. :) I'm glad to hear it went well for you and Jasper.
Naughty girls! My girls are a bit hyper at the moment and doing the zoomies and destroying the place. I'm putting it down to them being babies.

The vet said he's doing ok and will see him again on the 30th to check his progress :) They shaved his bum again to stop getting his wee in his fur. I got his paws checked because they were looking a little pink as he had been sitting in one place when he was recovering even though we have been changing him everyday but since he's moving around a little more now, they don't seem concerned and told me to get in touch if anything crops up. :)

Womble's bits are looking a little dirty is it ok to clean him with cooled down boiled water and a piece of kitchen towel?

Yes, you can give him a little bum wash that will be fine X How is Womble doing, is he moving around more now

Yes he is. He's out and about, sitting in his hay and eating more and coming to the bars to beg for treats. He'll walk around foraging for nugs and veggies. When he was feeling sorry for himself he'd mostly be in the hide or the cuddle sack and come out for the occasional nibble but you could see he wasn't himself. He was happy to be hand fed treats but he wasn't doing his nom nom face or pawing at the bars, or sitting with his paws on the bowl waiting giving you the eye and he wasn't out in open nearly as much. In the wild if he was injured he'd hide from Predators so not to get caught and eaten, so I understood why he was hiding a lot more.
Makes sense evolutionarily. He got slowly back to normal after a couple of days.
