Actually, I have just got a call from the dermatological nurse who checked me through the other week for another appointment on next Tuesday. That's so MUCH more encouraging than the standard appointment letter I received!
I've also just managed another rollator walk of over a kilometre despite being rather wobbly today and having pudding legs due to also pushing my leg exercises up another level. You have to keep going at this stage to get the muscles then starting to respond and strengthen.
I just did it before the next batch of rain... But I want to be able to walk the mile to and back from my pharmacy under my own steam for collecting my meds without having to ask hub every time by next month. It's these little independencies that make such a difference. And it is quite simply so good to be finally able to get out of the house after 2 months and get some fresh air, even if it is only shortly!
