Whooping cough?

I spoke to my friend tonight on the phone and she said that to stop a cough, put Vicks Vaporub on your feet and put your socks on. I am prepared to try anything at this point to get a decent night's sleep. So I have put Vicks on my feet and have put my socks on and my feet now feel nice and warm. I'm not sure at this point whether it will stop my cough of not. I have yet to be convinced.

I'm sorry you're feeling poorly Jackie.Yes vapour rub on your feet definitely helps with a cough,it's better for a dry tickly cough though.

My children had this a few weeks ago. Their doctor said that the conjunctivitis would clear up after the virus ran its course. Hope you feel better soon! There are so many nasty bugs out right now!

Well I'm reporting in after my first decent night's sleep in a week. Vicks on feet and socks on works! I am surprised as you are believe me. It didn't get rid of my cough completely but I didn't have the massive coughing fits that wracks your whole body and makes you feel completely exhausted like I've had all week. It made it just like a small cough. I have put more Vicks on my feet and put my socks on again for today to see if it works during the day too.

I'm glad it worked.It worked for me too when I had a dry tickly cough.
