Who loves red eyes? Who doesn't love them?

Just a fun question... who loves red-eyed pigs? Who doesn't?

Personally I like red eyes... my first pet, a little mouse, when I was 9 had lilac fur and red eyes. Since then, I've had an assortment of small pets with both red and dark eyes. For the past three years all our pets were dark-eyed... Hadley and Leela both have dark eyes (one of Leela's is blue, but it's definitely not red!) Even the hamsters had black eyes. But last month my daughter got a new Syrian hamster with red eyes, and I am so happy to have a red-eyed pet again!

So out of curiosity, who loves them and who thinks they're creepy? And post any pics of your red-eyed babies if you like! I think my favorite pig color is lilac with red eyes- Sundae had some of this coloring on her head (the back end of her was tan and white) and I always thought she was lovely!

I’ve never had a red eyed pet, it’s just happened that way, but red eyes don’t bother me at all!
 
My first pet was a hamster with red eyes, followed by a large white red eyed rabbit Harvey. I've had several rats with red eyes and the most beautiful piggy.
Angel was a gentle friendly soul who got on with every piggy he lived with.
He was a white abby with red eyes, so I'm a fan.xx
 
I don't have any piggies with red eyes at the moment, that's not through choice though. I don't mind what colour eyes animals have I love them all. I think years ago I wasn't so comfortable with red eyes as I am now.
 
for some reason I think the smaller the animal is the cuter red eyes are ranging from little hamsters where their eyes are like cute little beads and I love them. guinea pigs where I don't really care either way and rabbits where I do find them a little creepy at times (not that it would ever stop me falling in love with any animal).
 
I had a red eyed Himalayan as a child who was the loveliest boy. He still has a very special place in my heart.
As an adult my first pair, Titus and Philemon were red eyed white brothers.

I think piggies are gorgeous no matter what colour the eyes
 
I love red eyed piggies! However, my Grandson, who is autistic, associates red with bad things, such as danger, lava, hot, etc., so struggles a bit when he sees the red eyed piggies. At Chinese New Year, his school said they could all go in dressed in red. Jacob refused and wore white! My daughter got a phone call later that morning to say he'd had a fall on the playground and had cut his lip open and they thought that maybe it would need a stitch. When Ellie got to the school, she was met by the Pastoral Manager, who said Jacob had been very upset, mainly because his t shirt had turned red, from all the blood, bless him!
 
I love love love red eyes animals. They’re my weakness. I’ve had many red eyed piggies in the past and I love staring at them. The ruby red are my favourite, looking like Jewels but dark red is also beautiful.

I also have red contact lenses I love wearing while in costume

eevee is my only red eyed piggie currently

I admit I was...put off by red eyed piggies in the beginning. When I was looking to get piggies I once popped into PAH (yes mistake)! And the piggies I was looking at had red eyes. That was not the one (small) reason I didn’t go for them though.

I now love piggies full stop. Red or pink eyed they’re all cute 😍

Sundae always squinted in the sun too! Not sure if pigs with pink eyes are more sensitive to light or if it was just an individual quirk.
 
I'm very much indifferent. Love them as much as dark eyes piggies. My nephew told me that Lily was evil because she's white with pink eyes. He was 7 at the time and it was an interesting conversation to have (he did change his mind). Makes you realise though that there is so much about self love, body consciousness for humans but we don't combat kids being exposed to these messages in cartoons. If it were humans they would be told that it's not politically correct or that it's discrimination
 
I used to have a red eyed rat. They look nice like it. Rats with red eyes cant see very well. They do i side to side head sway to pick up on things.
 
I love both!
Aliona has red eyes in the light but hard to get on camera too! I’ve had a few pets over the years with them, one of my favourites was my beautiful Hamish the rat who was a Siamese.

With rats it affects their eyesight a fair bit so they do a funny head-bobbing thing to focus on things, absolutely adorable, but still manage brilliantly despite the sight loss! He was gorgeous in looks and personality! :love:
