Ali has one of the weirdest jobs I know... He gets paid to break stuff then works out ways to make sure it doesn't happen again.. :hmm:

Some fascinating jobs on here! Until the summer I was a specialist medical negligence Solicitor, but I'm now Head of Projects at a legal technical due diligence and management consultancy. Very few people understand what I do and even I'm still learning. My sister likens it to being like Ofsted of the legal world.

I'm team leader on an Improving Financial Confidence project funded by the Big Lottery. I work with social housing tenants around any issue we can squeeze under the heading of money management/budgeting. It's quite varied and interesting from comparing gas and electricity suppliers to going into a bank with someone to look at opening an account. I also do group workshops as well. Being the team leader I also do some stats work and a lot of meetings with other agencies to work in partnership and promote our project. Supposedly all within 34 hours a week

I am retired on disabiity. The very last thing I did that I got paid for was to sit at the local polling place, check voter registration cards and obtain voter signatures of everyone who came to vote in 2012. It was one day only. The last two every-day jobs I had were at the same time; medical transcription and reporting/editing for two newspapers here. Not very weird or funny, but with medical transcription I got to report on the gross stuff the medical personnel did. Some of the things the dictators said were funny, like the time a psychiatrist said that his patient told him he was going to "jump in front of a bridge" to kill himself.

This is a brilliant subject....... it's a shame that I currently have such a boring job as a part time cleaner and nothing weird or amusing ever happens for me to report!

I am a mum of five, my youngest is thirteen and oldest twenty eight.I get asked all sorts of weird and embarrassing questions. My daughter has major mood swings and can switch in seconds from loving you to hating you and letting the world know.Produces weird moments and weird looks off people.

I am a specialist paralegal at a solicitors :) you guys all have such great jobs x

Not weird but interesting. I am one of 6 sofware testers in the world, that works on the 3 day BACS payment system.
Wow! how did you get thata gig? - my son is off to Uni next year to do computer Science - he will be green with envy when I tell him what you do.

I work for the NHS Destroying patients confidential information, which means i read through all sorts of records and destroy them in accordance with a policy. Quite interesting the things I have read!

Thank you has anyone here been to the Harry potter tour?
Yes, we went just after it opened. We spent five hours in there and still didn't manage to see everything, there's so much! Has anything been added since then? I'd love to go back. We've also been to the Harry Potter Universal Studio park in Florida (not seen the latest Diagon Alley bit though) and on a film location tour in London!

They have released the new darks arts section now which is really cool. And currently its Hogwarts in the snow there for Xmas.

I'm a petsitter and I look after all sorts of animals. I even got to look after some racing snails! Wasn't sure if I was supposed to have got them out each day to race them, to keep them in training lol

The work I do for TEAS is viewed by most people as weird. When you tell people you run a sanctuary for guinea pigs with special needs they look at you as if you're completely mad.
