1. hutches
2. c&c cage
3. store brought cage
4. sheds
5. others

post pictures of them and write why you chose this option and what you liked best and less :)

I have two store bought cages. They are fine if a little difficult to disinfect. I love the look and layout and the fact it 'contains' them fully because two of my boys are well known for leaps out of their cage if it is left open and can easily jump out of a knee-high, uncovered run!

However after looking after my friends piggies I am seriously considering a c&c. I didn't realise how easy they were to clean!

I had a store bought cage at first

then I had this

Then I moved him into my room since he was getting lonely in the garage.

I've currently got a shop bought cage but since being on this orum I'm desperate to get a c&c cage.

My boys have a double story hutch and love it! Especially zooming up and down the ramp!:)

The girls used to have cages from zooplus, there lovely cages, but since we added a third piggie, Millie, we needed something bigger so now have a c&c so they have plenty of space to run away from eachother. As Millie being the younger one she does get 'pecked' occasionally.

Started off with a store bought cage not knowing anything else was out there. Realised it was too small when getting piggy number two so bought another bigger one. Eventually decided it too wasn't big enough so a hunt on the Internet got me a hutch with attached run (used indoors).
The small shop cage is kept for quarantine, vet visits, travel & so on. The bigger shop cage I donated to my local piggy sanctuary. I'm happy with the hutch and the boys love it. They always jump into their cosy cups for me to carry them back when I say "who wants to go home?".

Then I joined the forum and discovered C & C. I now have so many piggy accessories I need a bigger cage yet again. The grids are hard to get here but between Bunnings, Kmart, Ebay and the better part of a year I finally have the makings of a C & C cage and the table it will sit on. Still in the drawing board stage as I want to give them a large stable second level with a tunnel since they love that in their current hutch. The other thing too is that recently the boys have become extremely close and I'm reluctant to introduce a new environment until their bond is really strong.

So, for the moment we are all happy with this hutch:

I have a c&c cage in my attic for my 3 girls I love it but I have a out door hutch too with a run so they can go outside

I need to build a shelter cause we have cats in the garden thinking of making a chicken coop walk in style one
I find the fleece hard to keep up with in the rainy weather:( xx

Mine are all currently in a C&C cage, because it's practical and the best way to give them the space they need. It's a pain in the backside to clean, but it's worth it knowing they have the best possible space and quality of life.

:) such lovely housing mine are in a wooden cage but will be in a nice cubby house shed :)

3.store bought cage. Ferplast 120. Well technically it was store bought i got it off gumtree, only uses for a few weeka as the girls mum didnt appreciate the mess of keeping piggys inside ie-sawdust everywhere and demanded the girl house her piggys outdoors so i got a brand new ferplast 120 indoor cage bought by the girl from pets at home for £100 for £40, massive saving and i was very pleased with myself and my purchase! Would love a c&c cage but my flats much to small.

I made it myself using MDF for the bottom, conti board for the sides and correx for waterproofing. Its 190cm x 110cm and houses 2 boys. I chose this type of cage as I didn't like the look of shop bought or C&C cages.

I love this cage as it is very study, easy to clean and very neat looking. It is also the perfect size for the space that I have available. The only negative I have come across so far is that I can't hang hammocks. But if I really wanted to I could add some hooks to the sizes for this.

your cage looks lovely but i couldnt house ditto in that as he would jump outinbreeding .. If i leave the wire 'lid/top' of my ferplast cage off ditto jumps in and out of the plastic tray he can jump really high for a guineapig as i was led to believe the couldnt jump. So i have to leave the ferplast wire lid on at all times :-D

oh lordy can some of these piggies jump - Reg nearly made it out of the bath tub a few weeks ago! O_O

mine are in wooden hutches outdoors this is the only photo i have for the moment which is very much outdated!
by about 3-4 years in fact, the view from my bedroom window:

SDC10332.jpg

i now have three 4 level guinea standers (4ftx2ftx1ft cage size) as well as the one 3 level rabbit one and it's been re arranged, this was taken before the second guinea area was completed - there my dog is walking is now a grassed run, there is a fence and gate preventing them accessing the side of the metal shed and i don't have any of those little hutches any more, but i do have two stand alone hutches - one large robustly built one for my English rabbit and a 5x2 housing two neutered bucks, both of which i was given

i'll have to get an updated picture sorted out some time

Mine are in the midwest guinea habitat (2 connected). I love it & they seem to like it ;)

I have yet to even post pics of the pigs so i'll have to tell hubby that before we watch our tv shows tonight after our son is in bed that i HAVE to upload the pigtures i have! Priorities! Lol

Most of my guineas are housed in wooden hutches and have the whole of the brick out building to themselves! It's nice and secure in there and keeps a lot of the cold out!
I have another two pigglys in my bedroom aswell, they have a store bought indoor cage but I'm looking into c+c for them :))

My group of 6 are in 2 x 150 cages joined together (making a total cage size of 10ft x 2.5ft) - my single boys share a double storey 140 corner cage (each having one level) while my bonded boys share a double storey 140 corner cage :)

I'm doing a shed you might of see my thread i need ideas for everything

I have hutches for the summer and will be making C and C's for them all this winter. Me and my OH plan to move to a bigger place once I have finished being a student and I want to build a big free range shed for them then.

I'd love to have one of these in my hall way!

The Buns are in a home made 5ft long x 3ft high x 3 ft wide hutch. (Hutch is getting new doors made and once stained and fitted will add new photo.)
IMAG0059.jpg

The pigs are in a double decker hutch with the same dimensions as the buns.

Both hutches are in a heated lit 8x6 shed. (this is when it first went up, once the external house renovations are finished, it will be re-stained to freshen it up)
