What's it you want to fill it with?Where to get materials? and what is best use?
I buy fleece from Primark, eBay is good too. If you want to use towels, then Primark and Argos are cheap.

I just want a cage liner for the bottom of our hand made cage, we have converted an Ikea table into a cage and it's length is 117cm by 72 cms. So I have to buy several or make it myself it seems. Would a mattress (material) protector be good for the middle? What's it you want to fill it with?

I am not sure, I don't make liners myself. But, I have heard people using mattress protectors used before.I just want a cage liner for the bottom of our hand made cage, we have converted an Ikea table into a cage and it's length is 117cm by 72 cms. Many thanks for your kind words about our liners though sorry to hear you had an issue with one of them after a 60C wash. You can actually buy zorb on ebay. It's not the cheapest but it is really good. I've got it in the liners I bought from CandE cosies. It would be worth pricing buying that and making your own or buying several smaller ones from CandE cosies. But usually it will be cheaper to make your own whatever size.
If you make your own large one, please think about how on earth you will fit it in the washing machine. I can fit a 2x5 liner and a 1x2 in ours and we have a large drum one.
You can just use cheap wadding too. Search the forum for mattress protector though too as I've seen others discuss them in detail.

Regarding the making them cheaper yourself, if you use Zorb at the prices you will find on eBay and Amazon they you will find that making them yourselves, especially larger liners, will work out more expensive that buying them from us. This is because we ordered a lot direct from the supplier to minimise the cost to us so we are able to keep the price of our liners down to similar prices as other cage liners with less absorbent centres.
You are quite right that it usually cheaper to buy the materials seperately to make things We managed to get such a good deal, by buying a huge amount, which allows us to make them at comparative prices as those with less absorbent or efficient innersThat's worth knowing, thanks. I haven't actually costed up making them myself ever and my comment that it would be cheaper was based just on the general rule that things tend to be cheaper if you make them yourself but obviously not in this case!
I just want to be very clear for anyone else reading this that the shrinking was totally my fault. It hasn't put me off your products (which really are lovely - I was just thinking that again yesterday when doing the cage clean out and brushing the fleece down funnily enough! I love these liners). I would (and no doubt will) buy from you again without hesitation.
Ooh yes I definitely will keep my eye out - although not sure I've been to your facebook page ever before! You are quite right that it usually cheaper to buy the materials seperately to make things We managed to get such a good deal, by buying a huge amount, which allows us to make them at comparative prices as those with less absorbent or efficient inners
I am really pleased that you are happy with your liners and keep an eye out on Facebook as I am sure we'll have a special offer code coming soon, though might be a New Years one as we still flat out at the moment
