Just wondering what phobias we all have?
Any weird/funny ones?

I'll start.

I'm afraid of bridges. No matter the length. Flipping terrified.
I'm not scared of heights, though. 😅

Flying. Absolutely hate it. Used to love it, had an awful bumpy flight back from the States & it was all downhill from there. I'd prefer to go in a dinghy 🚣‍♀️ (as long as there's no sharks....not keen on them close up either).

Flying,I did it once 44 years ago, never again - Double Decker Buses (have mild panic attack if one comes towards me), can't get on one - going under ground, it took me 2 years to be able to get on a train at Temple Meads because you have to go down before you get onto the platforms.

This is interesting! My aunt is also afraid of bridges. If her commute involves a bridge, she will take a taxi so she isn't the one who has to drive over it!

Mine is butterflies!

I love all kinds of bugs, and even have held a tarantula without being afraid. Recently, I went to a butterfly garden and the sheer amount of butterflies freaked me out! It was completely unexpected. :P

Ooft I’m terrified of butterflies. Horrible little creatures, I don’t get up in their business so I don’t see why they should be up in mine! They’re creepy and fly at my face 🤢

I'm loving this guys, embrace your phobias. 🤣

I'm also scared of germs. If I get anything on my hands I FREAK.
I'm a clean freak, Monica level.

I hate river water, freaks me out, when you see the weeds at the bottom and imagine getting tangled in it. I can swim but it just freaks me out

I’m claustrophobic after been trapped in a lift in Greece, I also can’t cope with people being sick (vomiting) so hate hospitals too

I’m afraid of the sea, I went in it for the first time this year in Corfu and I was so proud of myself.

Granted I clung to my fiancé for dear life... but I did it! 😂
That's a very brave thing to do well done. There is absolutely no way I'd knowingly be in the same room as a spider even if there was someone there to share the experience with!

I'm scared of public speaking. If I had to do a presentation at uni I'd stay awake all night so that tiredness would take the edge off my nerves. By 5am I'd be thinking I wonder whether I could twist my ankle or something to put me out of action lol.

Bless you, I want to give you a cuddle for that.

I'm scared of the dark and things I can't see but only really if I'm on my own. If a door is shut in my house I can't be the one to open it because I'm scared there will be someone or something unexpected hiding behind it this includes rooms, cupboards, draws, under the bed and the bottom of the stairs but for some reason not the fridge. it used to be worse at my old house because I could never feel safe in both bedrooms I would go for months only going into one bedroom and then I'd face my fears and go into the other room only to find that I could only use that room and would be terrified to go into the other one. This makes leaving the house difficult too and I will often procrastinate for hours only to avoid leaving the house all together even though I'm usually fine once I leave he house.

I have emetophobia so any vomit or nausea freaks me out, this makes me a massive germaphobe too. I have social and agoraphobia so going out and being around people are nopes!

I'm not a fan of caves..I used to love them when I was a kid but for some reason I can't go in them now 😂 I like looking at pictures of them though, some of them are incredibly beautiful but you won't catch me going inside!
Open water too..I can't swim, well I can, I did learn, but a kid got into difficulty next to me and a lifeguard jumped over the top of me and really put me off. Years later I couldn't tell you if I remember how to swim and I don't really want to find out 😂

Oh! And human looking puppets..animal ones or anything else are fine but ones that look like people usually scare the hell out of me.

ROACHES
They scare me to DEATH. I don't care what types it is, (flying roaches are even worse) but they petrify me. Once I saw one in my backyard and I didn't step a foot out there for a month. Their shiny backs and color can make me puke. :vom::eek:

I really hate ventriloquist dolls and also don’t like baby dolls, especially the really lifelike ones.

They creep me out so badly!

I don’t like dolls either, I had them when I was younger and was fine with them until I was about seven or eight, then blatantly refused to go near them. Which wasn’t good as I had them on my bed! 😂

Spiders, heights and the sea/swimming pool.

I will also say the public speech one too, although I didn't see it as a phobia myself :hmm:
