Hi, I’m new to this forum and joined just to ask about this, I’m worried. This is Gizzy, a few days ago there was an odd spot on his face and I thought he might have scratched himself on accident. There’s no chance he could have been bitten. It’s been getting a little bigger everyday, and now instead of dark red it’s more blackish. I’ve tried to touch it gently to inspect it but he always pulls away like it hurts. I don’t know what it is or what it could be, but my dad and I are really worried. We can’t really go to the vet right now, especially during this COVID-19 situation. Any hints as to what this could be would be nice. F6A3B536-5315-4C59-95B5-1F994C4BD7BB.webp

Only a hands on examination by a vet is going to be able to give you a diagnosis. Vets are still seeing animals it’s just that the manner in which consultations are happening is different. You could call them and ask their advice and whether they would like to see your piggy.

I agree you need to see a vet but it looks like it could be chellitis which is a lip infection. If so then some antibiotics from the vet will soon clear it up
