We need your help!

I'm so sorry you're having all this trouble.
I've just found the TEAS website and made a donation via pay pal. I hope it helps. ❤️
Huge thanks! It really means a lot! Initially when we lost access to our page, my main worry was that we could lose all our videos and pictures. Luckily someone has been able to download them all for us, but then the harsh reality of losing so many followers hit me and I realised that we are potentially in danger of going under! I won't let that happen! I've worked so hard this past 12 years, but feel so angry that someone has just wiped that all out and didn't even do anything with the page, as it was clearly no use to them anyway!

I've followed the new page, don't think I followed the old page. I do normally donation on another page that's up for TEAS
Thank you so much! I need to get a lot more onto the new page, so you can see what all our piggies are getting up to! x

To add insult to injury I’m now seeing Facebook inviting some rescues to a performance bonus challenge to earn money. Rescues who haven’t got as many followers as we had on the old page! However, they can’t be bothered to help us get our page back so we can continue what we’ve been doing for the past 12 years!

😬🤬🤬

Dreadful! Fb is an absolute nightmare. I wonder if another platform to engage followers would help? I know it’s more time spent but you do really need to find follower support

Re getting a solicitor to help with your case, it might be worth it looking at "lawworks.org uk". It's a charity that can connect people who need legal advice but can't afford to pay for it, with lawyers who do "pro bono" work. The site has some videos to look at first to see if your case is one they could find a lawyer to help with.

That's brilliant 👏 I hope he gets somewhere fast.

I wish there were an alternative to Facebook that wasn't so exploitative - sadly I don't think Trump's so-called Truth Social fits the bill either 😕
I’m feeling a little more hopeful! It’s just so frustrating, especially as Facebook won’t engage in any communication!

Thought you might be interested in this which appeared in my emails today. Another poor charity hit by fb. As I'm not great with tech I hope this has transferred to this site without messing it all up :)

A West Bridgford man is warning others to be vigilant after a Facebook page he started to help raise funds for charities fell into the wrong hands. Ex-soldier Nigel Barkley created the 'VW Bug Barn' Facebook page around three years ago during the pandemic as a way to bring together like-minded individuals.
The 57-year-old explained that the idea for the page came about as he and two friends had a shared interest in classic cars and wanting to keep them on the road. He came across a farmer in Kegworth with a barn, which he rented to them so they had a place to store and work on vehicles.

The group decided to hold classic car and bike meet-ups at the site and decided that all of the money made after rent and electricity bills should be given to charity. In the past few years Nigel said that they have raised money for several cancer charities, the neonatal wards at Queen's Medical Centre, the Stroke Association, various animal charities and other causes.
He had been using the Facebook page to spread awareness of the fundraising events, but last August he was locked out of his personal account and the page. The former recruitment worker said: "I woke up on August 6 and I tried to get on my Facebook and couldn't.

"Everything I had put on it over the years had just disappeared. I then tried to access the VW Bug Barn page as I was the admin and I couldn't." He added that it was like his profile just vanished and he had to create a new one and launch a new page.
However, a few months after this he came across his old profile being active again when Facebook suggested it as being someone he might know. Nigel's original profile and page is now being controlled by a scammer and he can't access the original pages to regain control or warn people.

He added that Facebook has been "appalling" with the situation and not able to help, despite him reporting his original profile around 20 times since he noticed it was active again. Nigel said: "I can't put anything on and I can't warn people it's a scam as they have my old page.

"Ideally I would like to take control of the page back, but my primary goal is to stop people getting ripped off." However, Nigel is also struggling to get people to follow his new page instead as it took years to gain the thousands of followers it had, all of which are now seeing spam posts.

Nigel is organising another charity event for Sunday, April 21, which will be a car and bike meet. He added: "Before we had a reach of like 3,000 people on that page and now it's 320-something, so we are not going to be able to raise as much."
The new charity page is VW Bug Barn Kegworth, and Nigel urges people to report the original page which has been hacked and has the name VW Bug Barnn.
